Has anyone else been putting on muscle weight

I know first comes muscle then the pounds shed away. I am seeing a difference in my body, but it is disheartening when getting on the scale and seeing I'm 4 pounds heavier then I started. I just need to wait another week and maybe the scale numbers will be going down again.

Was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem too

I am a little over 1 lb heavier, but I am also using smaller weights. That's why it's a good idea to take measurements and just forget about the scale. Yeah right, yet I still check the scale. Ugh! Old habits are hard to give up!

i'm measuring on top of using the scale. I weigh on Fridays and last Friday I had gone up 0.5lbs. It made me sad, but I lost an inch off my biceps and an inch off my waist, so I figure it's all good. :)

I know what you mean....I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that I had gained : (
I really hope I start losing soon because I'm part of a couple groups that are counting on me to lose the weight.
  • My scale hasn't gone up or down. I'm holding off measuring until Thursday which will be day 10. Crossing fingers, I feel skinnier so that's a plus!

Actually, I lost 0.6 kilos this week (although I'd put on 0.2 the week before with Christmas), putting me at an overweight BMI! I did add a bit of extra cardio though.

OK ladies... and guys if there are any here... PUT AWAY THE SCALE for two weeks. As long as you are eating healthy, under your calorie goal and doing the exercises you WILL see the weight come off. 30 Day Shred helps tone your body and build muscle - I know it's not the # in lbs YET but you need to put on muscle before fat will go anywhere.

Don't give up - keep going and keep the faith in this.

I lost 1/2" all over my body then gained it back when I measured yesterday. Just keep it up, I know its hard to believe but trust me on this - press on and you will see. I lost 20" the first time when I did this and have been exactly where most of you are. I actually am in the same boat cause of the gain but I know it will come off cause I am exercising and eating right. :)

One more thing - most of us will probably gain temporary water/muscle weight.. that's why its super important to drink lots of water. Your muscles use that extra water to repair your muscles so that they can get bigger and stronger. Bigger/stronger muscles = more fat loss which of course equals more weight lost!!

Your body will flush that excess water very soon :)
  • Thank you dixie!! I've also not lost any weight since starting the shred, so it's really good to know it will come off eventually..I was starting to wonder?!! I feel smaller and definitely more toned, I took measurements before and will take them again when I'm done (on day 4 level 2) Fingers crossed!

Keep up the great work ladies!! :flowerforyou:

:D Love your attitude and commitment! I know its super frustrating not seeing it come off straight away (everyone can be different)! I saw it come off - 5lbs and .5" in the first week, now I am really bloated and gained back 1.5 lbs and two inches. I am in this predicament right now, not being sure when its going to come off but I know I am doing all the right things but I have to keep telling myself that it will come off eventually. :)

Can't wait to read about your success with this! Keep going, we all are so close!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
