Hi, I'm a recent transplant to Orlando and wanted to celebrate my arrival by running the WDW half marathon in Jan 2013. Only, I just looked into the price and it is $170. AND, there is a 16 minute/mile minimum speed or they will pick you up and deliver you to the finish line in a little cart of shame . . . so I'm having second thoughts. Has anyone done it before or is planning to do it this year? Is it worth the money?

I would consider myself an intermediate runner but have never done a long race or run for longer than an hour. I think I could handle a 1/2 marathon if I could take my time with it. Is it common for 1/2s to have a minimum pace requirement? Interested in anyone's experience with the race.
