I gained 3lbs over Christmas but not surprising considering what I ate and drank. So I'm back where I was at the start. Back into the routine again this week so hopefully those pounds will soon shift again.
Well done to everyone who was a bit more mindful than I was over Christmas and managed to keep losing.0 -

I'm afraid I can't seem to make healthy food choices CONSISTENTLY. I start out with a good breakfast (and no longer skip), and then the Rice Krispie Treats, cookies, pizza, m&m's, and such keep making it into my food log. Trying to replace them with fruits, veggies, nuts, cottage cheese, yogurt, and the like but so far not so good. I'm sure I would do better if I could resist the voices in my head. :frown:
All that said, I am definitely happy to be 10 lbs. lighter! :happy:0 -

It's so hard to make the right choices. When I started my diet, I just tried to make better choices the first week. Continued to make "better choices" the second week and then walked for about half an hour five of the seven days. Gradually I the choices got better and I have worked up to an hour of exercise five days a week. I just started Jillian Michaels shred it. I only got thru about 5 minutes. I don't know if that helps. I hope it will.

Hi All, I weighed myself on Monday 1/7, but just now having time to get on the computer and update. Here goes...
Dec 3 (Challenge start): 280
Dec 10: ?
Dec 17: 276.6
Dec 24 (weighed on Dec 27): 277.8
Dec 31: 276.6
Jan 7: 275.4
lost to date: 4.6
Apr 1 goal: 250
During earlier attempts at weight loss, I might have become frustrated at this point with the slow ( and sometimes no) loss pattern, however, this time it is different. I am in this for the long haul, and my while I intend to lose a great deal of weight, I also have a goal of better health and taking better care of myself. Already I feel better physically- I am sure it is due to the eating and exercising, and mentally I feel real good about taking care of myself.
I say all this not only to encourage myself, but to encourage anyone else who is moving down the scale slowly. There are lots of benefits to what we are doing even when the scale inches along.0 -

Doing insanity workout and so following a 40-30-30 diet.
Doing stretching classes and yoga for fillers.

Living the book and will start incorporating a few lifting workouts
