Hello all!
I'm Amanda. I actually found this group when I was thinking about creating one, so I am super excited to find other Whovians on MFP! My 8 year old son and I are big Dr. Who nerds. My personal favorite Doctors are the 4th and 10th, but I am warming up to Mr. Smith. I love Clara, and I can't wait till April to see what she is all about. I have a couple of theories, but we shall see.

Smith is my all time fav, but I also love Tennant, Pertwee, and Tom Baker. And I love Clara already!0 -
Oh man, I love Clara so much already. I'm just hoping that they don't go all full on romance with her and the Doctor altho I have no problem with them still being flirty. I selfishly just love to see Matt Smith laugh and smile.
My favorite Doctor is Smith (not just because of the smile and laugh) who edged out Christopher Eccleston's and which I'm STILL feeling guilty about. He was my first and he had me at "Run".0 -
Smith is the best! I could go on and on. I really don't understand why so many hardcore Tennant fans don't like him. Just because he's not your favorite doesn't mean you have to hate him. Sheesh. I love Tennant too, even though he's not my favorite.
I will be sad to see him go whenever they bring in the 12th Doctor, but I most certainly will not automatically dislike whoever he is, because change is the nature of the show. And I'm sure 12 will be brilliant in his own ways.0 -
It is always hard to transition to the new Dr. when he regnerats. I do not hate Smith as the Dr but he is not my favorite. I love Eccleston (Wish he had more than 1 series) , Tennant, and Baker are all tied for first in my heart. I really think Smith has done brilliantly and he won his heart with his awkwardness.
It will be hard to find someone to fill the shoes for 12 but I am sure whomever it is will do a brilliant job.

Tennant fan here! I don't actually hate Smith, but I tend to say that I prefer his companions more than just him. Kinda hard to explain. I don't think we will ever find a doctor as charasmatic as Tennant. He was just literally BORN to play the Doctor. (I did see that he and Georgia Moffett are expecting again - squee!)
I guess the main thing I have against Smith is that he is no Tennant. And I suppose that isn't fair to him. That being said, I have grown to appreciate him. Sooo my order for new Who Doctors still remains the same. Tennant, then Eccleston, then Smith.0 -
I guess when you are just really into your Doctor he becomes the standard. That's kind of how I feel about Smith and Tennant in reverse. I love Tennant, I really thought he was brilliant and perfect, a 10 out of 10 (haha)! But then Matt Smith started at cranked it up to 11
P.S. That was the most awesome unintential double entendre ever, if I do say so myself.0 -

Hahaha thanks! I do think we can all agree that Tennant should come back for the 50th anniversary, and both of them together would be the MOST EPIC thing ever.0

No, she means the Doctor's Daughter, Jenny, from the episode of the same name. Though I'd love to see what the Human Doctor and Rose are up to...0
