I wanted my free day to be a Saturday. I didn't want to wait to start until Saturday though so i started today. To get the scheduling to work out right for Sat to be the free day for me I started on a low carb day today. I am undecided as to if this coming Sat should be a free day of if I should wait until next Sat. Obviously this Sat won't give me a full week under my belt. I am unsure if going 11 days with out thee free or higher calorie day will make a difference. Thanks!

Honestly, I think it probably wont matter much either way, it should just come down to personal choice. skipping this Saturday as a free day might really be beneficial in kinda kicking your butt into gear, but going that long could also get difficult & throw you off track if you can't stick to it diligently. Taking advantage of Saturday as a free day might help you get you past the first week hump & allow you to start off fresh on Sunday. I think it comes down to what feels right for you.

Thanks for another quick reply :) I guess I'll play it by ear and see how I feel. I do like to have a drink or two on Sat night.

The more important question here is when is your weigh day? Is it Saturday? Great, making saturday "Fun Day" won't be a problem.

My suggested schedule for you assuming a Saturday Weigh in:
    Su: HC
    M: LC
    Tu: HC
    W: LC
    Th: HC
    Fr: LC
Sat: weigh day & fun day.

To avoid weighing "water weight" you'll want to weigh as far away from the previous fun day as possible. So, weighing the saturday morning before having fun, is perfect. Also, you'll want to have the day before weigh day be a LC day so that you flush out as much water retention as possible. Going lower sodium is a good idea if you tend to retain water.

    Hope this helps!

Edit to add: Doing a fun day this week a couple days into the diet wouldn't be a problem... but if you decide not to, then just do two HC days in a row.

I do Saturday as my cheat day and it works great. I've done it from the get go. I do just like Babe suggested :) Works awesome!

Glad to know it is working Bling! It isn't even the food but the drink or two with hubby on Saturdays.
