Slingshot week

So I've already lost a majority of my weight within the last 2 1/2 years but I'm still trying to lose my last 5-7 lbs. I started Chris Powells Choose to Lose book 4 weeks ago (started December 22 which was a Saturday) and I had been losing 1lb every week (which is good for me) and then when I stepped on the scale this last Saturday (Jan 12) I had gained a lb. I'm pretty sure and hoping it's only water weight because I haven't nearly eaten over 3,500 calories in one day to gain a lb. Since this is my 4th week I'm going to try the slingshot technique. Has anyone else had success doing this? It makes me a little nervous lol.

I just started week 2 & I'm a little nervous about the sling shot week. I'll have to look over the book again...but if I'm not mistaken, we're supposed to do the slingshot in week 3, right? Do we have to? Definately interested in people's feed back on this!!

I had not done the slingshot week yet. So I am doing it this week. I can let you know results if any. I'm a bit nervous about it as well but I guess we will see.

  • I have my book here at work and just took a look to see what it says.

You are supposed to do the Sling Shot during the 4th week by using High Carb days for a week. If you don't lose anything that week, it is supposed to kick start for weight loss the 5th week. If you don't start to lose, you may have to "tweak" the program a little.

Slingshot week is usually fun for me... but I'm always craving cheese or other "healthy fat" items by the end of the week. At the end of a slingshot, my usual funday lunch is pizza... because I'm just craving it! LOL

Have fun, enjoy the different foods. Drink lots of water, exercise as usual... and don't stress about it. You'll do great!
