sugar allowances

Hi

I have managed to stick to within my 1200 calories allowance for the past 10 days but am finding it difficult to stay under the sugar allowances. For me this is 24 g a day but you only have to eat the equivalent to a couple of bananas and I have exceeded it? The same goes for protein.

    Protein I'm ALWAYS over! With sugar, all it takes is for me to be a bit heavy on the fruit and I'm over. I don't pay too much attention really as long as I'm under on my calories and my carbs (because I know carbs are my major downfall). Apparently you can change it in your settings if you want but I wouldn't worry too much, as long as it isn't because you're scoffing Mars bars!
  • I am the same no matter how hard i try i will go over my sugar but the way i look at it sugars from fruit are good sugars so to speak as above if you aint eating chocolate and sweets i would not worry too much

    I go over too and with protein as well. I don't really worry about it as long as i am with in my calories.
  • I lost 15lbs going over my sugar allowance everyday, as long as it's mostly sugars from fruits, you're fine :)

    Agreement from me. Trying to get my five a day and finding an apple and satsuma with my lunch plus some 'healthy' foods and I'm over for sugar. Have decided I'd rather have the benefits of fruit and ignore the limit as I'm still within the calories.
