Team Bob-- Time Flies!

I had a few thoughts I wanted to share with you team. It starts with a poem that my son wrote in school last year when he was 8-years-old:
This is a Story of When Time Flew By
By Alex age 8
Time flies every day. In the morning time flies. And at night time flies. Time flies when you are having fun and sometimes when you are bored time flies.
One time my grandpa took me to a restaurant and I was happy to see him because we didn't live close to him but a few days later he passed away. So his time on Earth flew by.
Sometimes I wish I could just stop time so my grandpa had more time on Earth. So each and every day time flies.
O.k. --- I know--- a bit of a downer. However, I think it has an important point that we can learn from a child. As you are going through this challenge and things get difficult I want you to remember how quickly time does go by. We only have so many heartbeats in our life. What do we want to do with them? Do we want to never go swimming because we don't want to put on our swimsuit? Not have the energy to play with our grandchildren? Not go on a bike ride because we don't fit? The list goes on and on. We can do this! We can make the most of the time we have been blessed with. All of this hard work is worth it! Have a wonderful week Team Bob. I believe in you!

I hear you! I still remember my mom standing by the ocean. She was nervous about getting her swimsuit on and never just dove in that water. As a child I just remember her admiring that ocean from the shore. She passed away from an auto accident we were in when I was 13. If she had a do-over I'll bet she would want to feel good about her body and jump right in the water, It isn't about being a size 0. It's about health, strength and confidence! You are going to rock your suit this Summer!0 -
