It's really not as bad as you might think. I'm actually faster if I do WODs like that in sets instead of just try blasting through as many as I can do and then limping home.

So how do I attack this? Break it up into 25's or 15's before gathering myself up?
  • Women's weight is 55 pounds. My PR is 8:56. My advice is just keep moving. it's kind of like Fran in that it sucks the life out of you, but it's over pretty quick.

In my opinion the worst part of this workout if the fatigue on your grip as the weight if not heavy enough to really get to you where you should fail a rep. Like sasquatch said, what works best for me in these types of workouts is planning my sets ahead of time, I would typically try to do 15,15, 15, 10, 10 ,10 .

Been doing crossfit for 6 weeks, former power lifter. The stamina and endurance of crossfit is what I want. Who cares if you can bench, squat or deadlift massive amount of weight one time. I want it all, I want both power and endurance. Its actually help my power lifts too. I have no clue on how to gauge myself on this one but to go all out the first time and see where I land.

Wish me luck, tonight we do this routine. Power lifts don't scare me or get the adrenaline flowing. Crossfit scares the crap out of me,lol. Right before we start a routine I get nervous and the adrenaline kicks in. Its a great feeling.

Thanks guys, I'll try and kick *kitten* tonight.

It really depends how "heavy" the weight is for you. I'd probably do it 25/15/15/10/5/5 I know that seems like a lot or sets, but the "break" in between is only about 4-5 breaths worth before I try to hit it again.

Thrusters are what kick my butt in a hurry...

Did it, RX in 5:43 should get down to 4 min. by the next time. Didn't quite know how to attack it. We did front squats with 225 lbs. for 3 3 3 3 3's to warm up. I hate front squats too, lol.

I put it down 5 or 6 times, my cardio sucks. Had to stop to catch my breath, it wasn't fatigue. The instructor did it under 3 minutes, show off.lol
