Best baby carrier for power walking??

Hi there i have been going for walks with my 3yo in a pram and my 6mo in a moby wrap but i keep having to stop to adjust him, and it seems to sag abit after walking for 10 mins or so. Also if my baby falls asleep it doesn't support his head very well.
This is annoying because its stopping me from getting the most out of my workout.
Does any have any recommendations for a good baby carrier that will support a baby well during longer walks?
thanks :)

I have a Baby Bjorn, but so far I've only used it in the house. I find my back gets tired really quickly when I spend a lot of time carrying my 12lb baby (in general, not just in the carrier) so I haven't taken her out for a walk in it just yet. Hoping to get to it soon, starting with a short walk around our neighbourhood, but it's going to be frigid for the next bit and we likely won't be outdoors at all. :ohwell:

I have an Ergo Sport carrier. I take my 3 month old for walks in it, I haven't been out for more than an hour, though. I like it because it is lightweight and made of a soft material so I don't get all sweaty wearing it. It's also adjusts to fit my husband who is 6'5''.

I have a Moby for around the house, I don't see myself using it in public. Like you said, baby can wiggle himself around too much and create space.

We had the Ergo Sport carrier on our registry and did find it was the most comfortable of all of the ones we tried, but we ended up changing our minds about it because the baby can only face inwards. We were worried she would get bored staring at our chests all the time. I agree that it is great for tall people, DH is 6'3" and it fit him well.
  • The ergo is great but my little one would push against me to try and see out, and it hurt my shoulders.. I also have the Beco Gemini which allows you to have baby face out.

Becco vs' Ergo - I feel like they are very similar in material and fit the only difference is LO can face out. but if thats not a problem people seem to like the ergo the most.. you can carry both on your back in either one of these.. I have not tried it though.. Fractured my ankle and had surgery before I got to that point.

My LO is now almost 8 months and I am just now starting PT.

Ergo is good but make sure you buy from an authorized retailer as there are lots of fakes out there. Boba is another awesome one. If you have a decent amount of $ to spend Kinderpack and Tula are the best. If you like wrapping with the Moby but are just having problems with it sagging, you might like a woven wrap. They work like a Moby except they are much more supportive so you don't have to stop to adjust and you can use them in back carries. They can get expensive. Girasol is a good starter brand that you can get for around $110 new. Didymos is another good brand but can get pricey. C & c ( Colimacon Et Cie) is a great cheaper brand. So is Dolcino. If you want to buy used which can be cheaper check out thebabywearer.com or there is a swap page on facebook for used baby carriers. Look up Babywearing Swap.

Babies are actually only supposed to face inward or on the back due to hip dysplasia

I don't know about power walking, but I use the baby Bjorn for normal pedestrian walking (don't own a car) and my baby loves it. Limit is about 2 hours of shopping before a break. I wish the straps were thicker though.

She faces in (to the side) and likes to look around for a bit and then nap.
