Change settings to gain???

Hello all! I am now 16 weeks and one day :D I was wondering if anyone has changed their goal/settings to gain .5lb a week or left it at maintain. Just wondering. I find it difficult to eat so much more then what I am use to but working on being as healthy as possible and fuel my body that is growing a human! Thanks for you time!     I set mine to gaine .5 a week, but during the first trimester, it's a bit high. I think my calorie allowance went from 1250 to 2200 and if I go under, then no big deal. i never try to hit 2200, but I'm starting the 3rd trimester and it's pretty easy, but it wasn't at 16 weeks.

    I'm in my second trimester, and have mine set to gain .5lb a week. It took some adjustment, but my appetite really started to increase after week 18. If you have problems, try going for more calorie dense foods, like cheese, nuts, peanut butter, or avocados. Congrats! :)

    First tri I set mine to maintain, second tri to .5 lb gain and third tri left it at .5 lb gain since the holidays fell w/in the third tri so keeping it lower knowing i would go over on those meals helped me from going over too much. I've heard/read it that you should be set to gain 1 lb week for third tri but I've also heard .5 lb gain, so I guess just choose whichever works best for you when you get to that point.

    I am 20w and left at maintain because I clearly have no problem gaining. I haven't been good with logging, but I haven't been eating a ton, either. So I am either way underestimating what I'm eating or my body is just doing what it wants to (or some combination therein). If I were gaining slowly, I'd change my settings to gain 1/2-lb/week.

    I am 14 weeks 3 days and I have mine at gain .5. Which gives me like 2300 calories in a day. I rarely hit that if ever and I started working out again now that my energy levels are back with my 2nd Trimester :-)

    I haven't changed anything. I haven't changed my weight in the tracker, I haven't changed my weight to gain. I have just left everything the same, and just using MFP as a food diary to make sure that I don't overeat or undereat ( for that matter).
  • I got back to logging only by week 24, so now at the end of the second tri it's set at gain 0.5 lb/week and I think I'm going to keep it this way. This gives me roughly 2100 calories, and i try to stay within that limit.

    I'm at 20 weeks and my calorie goal is set at losing 1/2 lb a week. I usually go over my calories--it's just a reminder to be more moderate since my weight jumps up really fast. I have to stay on top of it!

    I am 20 weeks and I have mine manually set at 2000 calories a day, which would have me losing 1.5 pounds a week according to MFP. But I feel like that is plenty of calories. Also, I didn't know this until today but a friend on here told me... if you go to your diary and go to Add (whatever category you want) and type in "pregnancy," it will come up with -300 for second trimester... not sure how man for the first trimester but there is an option for that too. You can select it and add it to your diary and it will give you an extra 300 calories for the day. That might be more accurate than changing your settings to gain .5 per week. I'm not sure though. So I guess what you could do is set your goal to Maintain your current weight and then give yourself the extra 300 per day...?
