Anyone running this? Can anyone who has ran it in the past comment on the event?

5K, 10K or Half Marathon options
Course details
All courses will wind through beautiful downtown St. Paul before heading out onto Shepard Road for the turnaround points.
Shepard Road will be closed for runners until 11:30 a.m. By that time, all participants must be back at Securian. Walkers are not permitted in the Half Marathon but are encourage to take part in the 10K or 5K event.
Race provisions have been made and include the following:
Water will be available in the plaza of Securian Center 400 building.
Water stops will be located underneath the High Bridge (Shepard Road and Smith Avenue) and the 35E bridge at Shepard Road (approximately miles 3, 5, 8, 11).
Medical units will be available at the start/finish line and at the halfway point of the Half Marathon.
I want to run but am not sure on the distance yet. Who is with me?

I plan on participating in this event, but am still undecided on distance. Most likely I will run the 5K or 10K as that is all I am properly trained for. Someone knock some sense into me before I convince myself I can run a half marathon less than a month after my first 10k without sufficient training. lol0

I wouldn't be so worried about the time after your first 10k, but if you haven't trained you're setting yourself up for failure and perhaps injury.
if your first 10k was the polar dash on the 1st, be prepared for similar temps as it looks like we're going to go through a deep freeze next week0 -
Just officially signed up for the Half Marathon (my first). Should be fun!0

Am I the only one on MFP running this? It is supposed to be warmer by Saturday. Come enjoy the fun! You can still save money by registering online.0

It was a really fun race (and very inexpensive compared to many half marathons). I definitely recommend it to anyone who may be interested next year.0
