Thank you for posting this! Is the 14lbs you lost from doing Insanity this time?

I'm nearly finished with the first week of month 2 and it's more of a love hate. My big problem is all of the pushups, my arms are SO sore and there isn't a break. Plus an 4 yr old wrist injury is giving me a bad time, I've had to go to my knees just to save my wrist a bit. I may have to take off the Recovery day to give my muscles & wrist a break

I've never been able to do pushups in my life, no matter how in shape I was. I can do maybe 2. Right now I do what I can & just try to hold myself up.

Try doing some at a 45 degree angle (on the side of a coffee table or another table less than 2 ft tall), it is easier. I always start on my feet and when I get too tired or my form really goes I go to my knees.
  • No 9 lbs of it is though

I start with full push-ups and go to my knees when I can do another one on my toes. I can probably do 30 push-ups now. Five months ago I could barely do 2 or three before dropping to my knees. As your core muscles gain strength so does the ease of doing push ups. I love the plank running and ski abs.

Great topic, i remember posting about month 2 in my first round of insanity and i felt like i almost died on day 1 of month 2. suffice to say i was not in the best of shape and i sturggled with month2 .

Glad to say im now on second round of month2 and its going much better.

As for push ups - i struggle with them too. Bad wrists. so i do a mixture of doing them on my knuckles and using push up bars.
