What are your goals? The best advice would pertain to this.

Supple Mama's got it right...we need to know what your goals are. Make a tangible goal, something more specific than "I want to lose weight."

What's something that you really, really, really want to be able to do? Make it something hard that you don't think that you can physically do and make it something that you can get fired up about.

Once you have a goal, it's a bit easier to start working towards it and get advice.

Ok, you can of course decide how fast you want to lose weight but with 30 pounds to lose 1 pound a week is good. A half pound loss every week is even better; more realistic. On MyFitnessPal, click the 'My Home' tab and then 'Goals'. Input your info there. MFP will then give you a daily calorie goal. Follow this.

Drink at least 8 cups of water a day. By cups they mean cups, 8oz of water each.

Sleep 7-8 hours a night. I have found this really helps with weight loss.

Exercise is not truly necessary for weight loss BUT it does affect your overall health, so I strongly advise that you exercise at least 3 days a week for at least 30 minutes at a time.

Elaine - Why do you want to lose 30 pounds? What's your stats/fitness level now?
  • I already exorcise 1 hour each day, i swim. And thanks
  • Would you be willing to share your current height/weight and eating habits? Most of the work toward becoming fit is in diet. You may be able to do a lot of weight loss just by changing the kinds of food you eat. Fruits, veggies, and sundry proteins are your friend!
