New thread, new week, new Monday!

Hi all! As for me, I'll be starting anew too. I am going BACK to week 1. I figured that I should give myself a new start considering all the "drama" that's been occuring in my life and to focus right back on taking care of myself.

I'm learning ("still learning" as my late aunt would say) that this stress stuff can kill! I've suffered from depression, loss of appetite, insomnia, headaches, stomach aches, blood pressure spikes and minor migraines from all the stuff that's been going on. I'm learning that it's time to let go of the things (and people) that I can't help and happily work on the things that I can. (Prayer of Serenity anyone? lol). I can change my lifestyle concerning my health and other things that surround me directly, so I'll be focusing on that.

Have a Happy Monday ladies.

Just finished Fire 30 and I rocked the mess out of it! I'm working on shakes with chia seeds now, giving them a try. The fiber content is pretty impressive so I'd better be careful lol. I had a lot of energy for the workout and it might be thanks to that! Well, hope to read you ladies later!

Hi ladies, Pushed play today and did fire 55 ez and CLX abs burner. I did ok not really my favorite workout but I do have to say I did it with my weighted gloves. It did make my arms burn. :) I have been weight lifting every other day so no wonder. :)

@Jeni- wow that really sucks, and what the crap!!! They just found it and are now letting you know. I am sure this is what aided in your weight gain. Possably the IUI not taking. Ug maybe you should switch doctors. I don't really have that option right now since everywhere I'd go I'd be looked at as a new patent, I 'll just wait and see. But man what a pain, I wish sometimes doc were God's angles and could just tell us everything without all the headachs.

@ck- you crushed it today. So glad to see you back and starting over. You'll just do better since you know all the moves. It's a new you. I am drinking shakes right now from my new nutribullet apart of the magic bullet family. It is awesome!!! My kids love it too and that makes it worth my hard earned money. I paid $100 for it, but like I said it is awesome. I put spinach, avacdo, pineapple, mango, a carrot and almonds in it and it purred everything in like 30 sec. really cool and the best part you couldn't taste the veggies. I made on for my hubby with brocilli, green beans, pinapple, banana and sunflower seeds. He said it was pretty darn good. yay we will be getting more veggies and fruit. so excited. so whatever you do i am sure it will be an added bonus.

Keep pushing play and as CK said read you soon :)

    Morning ladies!

II got so excited yesterday that I forgot to check how you were doing! Duh.

Jeni, I read your post, I'm sorry about the thyroid issues, and that it was an absolute surprise! Perhaps they didn't even check for the problem until now, although I'm always a bit suspect of the medical industry. As my sister tells me, there's a reason they call it a practice. If this is the case then I hope that you'll be able to find quickly the combination of medication that works for you.

Vini, thanks for the tip! I'd like something smaller to work instead of just my blender. The thing is huge! I might stop by Sears near my job today!

Well, as for me, my "day 2" was good. Vini was right, I know the moves so it's less work to get into it. The problem is just the conditioning: it doesn't take much to get my heart rate up and keep it there. I guess that's a good thing - all the benefits of cardio with less work? I don't know lol, but I'm doing good. Well, I'm running a tad behind today so I'd better get going!

Thanks CK. I hear you about the "practice" business. The thing is- I was seeing a specialist! An Endocrinologist! This is his field! Heck, I'm just in nursing school, and I already know how most of the hormones work together... which is why I am very surprised he never mentioned this to me before... especially since hypothyroidism can affect fertility, and he knows what I've been going through for the past 3 months. I think I deserved a bit more than a phone call saying "Uh yeah, do the blood work again, and if its still low we're going to put you on some drugs." Super frustrating.

As far as TurboFire goes, I am taking the week off... since the lady downstairs is apparently on vacation for the week. Blargh. This is just not a good week for me. At least I have the gym across the road so I can do SOMETHING.

Ugh! I can so relate to you right now Jeni, I have now pulled my "collar bone muscle" LOL I told my hubby that and he knew just want I was talking about. He pulled his once doing pull-ups and I did mine with push ups. I am so mad, it hurts like heck too. I am no sissy either. It hurts on both sides worse on one side more then the other. I thought I'd muscle through it today but I had to stop and now it hurts worse. my hubby says takes a while to heal. :( So week off for me if it starts to feel better soon I will do some TF then hit my schudle on monday. CK I always felt better knowing the moves, it's one of the reasons I did the prep schudle. I hope this week starts to turn around as tomro is Hump day! :) Keep pushing play ladies!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! Sorry, I haven't been checking in. Very hectic here at home. My husband injured his Left achilles tendon on a business trip in Phoenix and had an Achilles Tendon Repar last Thursday. He's got a boot on and using a knee walker. He needs to recuperate for 6 weeks and we have another week until he can see the surgeon for his post-op appt. He is home and driving me nuts. He is 10x worse than when he's sick with a cold. I'm sure some of you may know what I mean.

I'm also studying for the NLN, it's a preadmission exam to get into healthcare programs at this school near my house. I was a Surgical Tech before I had the kids and I made the mistake of not leaving my foot in the door when I had the kids. Now, I'm trying to get into the Medical Imaging program. I take this exam on March 2nd. It's my 3rd time taking it. My scores are higher than the National average but still not high enough for the school I'm applying to. All my pre-req's are in order, great gpa...I just can't get my NLN score high enough. Tests Verbal, Math & Science. I'm fine with Verbal & Science...it's those damn numbers. Ugh!

When I can escape from my husband, I disappear to our local library while the kids are in school to study. Then, I do my regular motherly duties when they come home and I end up working out at night when their asleep.

I have been pressing "play". I start Week 9 today. I can't believe I am saying "Week 9". Unbelievable. So far, I love HIIT 20 and I am now loving Sculpt 30 and Tone 30 now. I think I'm just getting stronger. Actually, I know I'm getting stronger. There's so much snow here and I no longer huff and puff when I'm shoveling our front porch and sidewalk.

Anyway, I have been thinking of all of you.

Connie~ Love your new profile pic. Way to bring it by starting over!

Jeni~ Sorry to hear about your health problems. I've got an endocrinologist that doesn't speak much with no facial expressions. I see him twice a year and all he does he refill my rx's. I know I should get another one...I'm just too lazy. I have pre-diabetes and hypothyroidism. Are you happy with your fertility specialist?

Vini~Sorry to hear about your collar bone injury. Good rest should hopefully work. Praying for you all!

CORRECTION: I am actually starting Week 10 today, not Week 9 as I previously stated. I was able to add shoveling snow today as part of my calories burned. How cool is that.

Now, I'm going to have a choco coco banana protein shake.

    Good night everyone!

    Hi Ladies,
So I did some more research and I actually think i injured my rotator cuff. :( you know the one charlean is like when your rotator cuff is injured your out of commision, yup that would be me. It hurts to do everything, it all connected to my arm so just getting plates out of the cupboard hurts it. I hope it gets better soon, I wanna workout.

@ Stel, wow I'd say your busy. I can relate to the having a kid at home when hubbys aren't up to par. I hope all goes well for you this test time around. I'll be praying it goes well and your calm and ready. I hate math too. Congrats on starting week 9. Are you using weights on the scuplts? Are you doing 12 weeks or 20 weeks? Be safe and warm with all the snow coming our way!

Well as I always say keep pushing play! :)

Vini~ I am going to do the full 20 weeks and I still haven't decided what I'll do afterwards. Maybe another round of TF without modifications or a TF/P90X hybrid or Chalean Extreme. I haven't lost that much weight, although I have lost lots of inches. So, we'll see. I took your advice last time and I'm using weights for Sculpt 30 only. I use lighter bands (green) for Tone 30. I tried using weights for Tone 30 and I couldn't keep great form.

This Sat (rest day), instead of doing Body Beast: Build Legs, I'm going to try the bonus workout...Burn Circuit 1 to switch it up a notch. I'll let you know how it goes.

Oh no...your rotator cuff? Please get that checked out. You will definately be out of comission, as Chalean says. You don't want that to end up in surgery.

I appreciate the prayers and will be doing the same for your injury.

Morning all! I'm running a bit behind for work and stuff so I'm going to catch up on my reading soon (I love this group!).

I feel like I'm back! That chia seed must be some powerful stuff! I just finished Fire 55 EZ and burned 598 calories and reached a max HR of 188! O.M.G!!! I was scared for a while that 183 was where things ended since it was my 80% max rate. I feel great right now so I'm gonna take this feeling on the road! I think I'm gonna stay with the chia for a while.

I checked the calendar on team beachbody and I've got this program up until June 22. NICE!! I'm looking forward to it. Well, gotta go, fun time's over and it's time to make the donuts.

    Later ladies!

Hey guys! Lady downstairs is still on her vacation, and has decided to become a freaking hermit.... sooo I have not been hitting play. I have been going to the gym across the street to play on the eliptical every other day. Hopefully I'll be able ti jump back into TF on Monday.

Preshus- Well, the fertility specialist that I really liked went on maternity leave this month. Her replacement is very nice, too, so I have no complaints in that department. My endocrinologist, however *shakes fist*

Vini- Be careful with rotator cuff injuries. My hubby was hit by a car quite a few years back, and the hood ornament damaged his rotator cuff... his arm would just randomly pop out of socket for MONTHS afterward. His physiotherapist made him do a lot of shoulder and arm exercises to build the muscles back up... but take it sloooooooowly!

I did not press "play" today. All that shoveling I did yesterday and Tone 30 left me with a sore upper body and sore right side arms. I'm missing the Stretch 40 and saw in the schedule that I won't be doing Stretch 40 until Week 12! I also noticed on the schedule that these next few weeks have me doing Tone 30 & Sculpt 30 a couple x's a week. Talk about building more muscles. Oh yeah! Now, only if I can get rid of the flab on my thighs and belly. The flab on my belly is getting smaller. I feel muscles under the flab but my thighs...that's a different story. I know TMI. Sorry.

Praying for you ladies in the east coast during the snowstorm.

Hey ladies! Got my SHWEAT ON! I put an "H" in there when it's drippin!

Anyway, Stel! Do your thing! Shoveling is such an exertion I knew of a neighbor who likely had a weak heart and died from it, so listen to your body - do your stretch if you want! And don't worry about flab. After all that toning and sculpting, the flab burns away. You might even feel a bit bulky, but that'll go away too.

My heart goes out to Vini & Jeni! I had a sore rotator cuff and it did not feel good at all. Took a few weeks to just get back to normal. Jeni keep doing what you're doing girl, you're still going strong.

As for me, I've got a good start to a cloudy but still good day. Looking forward to a good one! Ciao for now!

Yesterday I FINALLY got my TF on! The lady downstairs must have run out of food, because she left for a good 2 hours... long enough for me to do Fire 60! Felt SO good to do something other than run on the treadmill / elliptical. Hopefully she'll be back to work this week so I can keep going.

Hey everyone. I am still here. Last week I had a cold and I just didn't feel good so I skipped my workouts and just caught up on housework when I felt better. I usually only get sick once a year but this year I have had 2 colds and that rotten stomach flu that was/is going around. Hopefully this means I am paid up for the next 2 years! =D

Sorry Jeni and Vini about your doctors. I used to hate the new one at ours but she left so now I don't dread going so much anymore. I did get some blood tests and everything is fine! Even my female hormones are fine. They said they are a little low but nothing really to be concerned about. I still can't lose weight though. I am doing everything right. Even the doc said I was. I showed her my eating and workout print outs to back up what I was saying. The last time I went for not losing weight she didn't believe me. (the dreaded doctor that is) so this time I came armed with info. They said to maybe cut down on carbs. I don't do well with low carb so that isn't happening. I cut out wheat instead. lol That is a whole long story but I have been wheat free for 5 days now and lost 3 lbs. Maybe this is it! I am not going to get excited until I see 160 because I keep losing the same 3 to 6 lbs. I am losing inches but I know for a fact I am not gaining that much muscle. I know the way I am doing it is slower but it's not so slow it stops. I can still only do 10 knee push ups and 2 on my feet so that isn't much of a strength gain. It's not muscle that is making me stay the same. It is something else. It isn't maybe you are eating more then you think you are. I have OCD I am a great at measuring. In fact, so great I got obsessed and had to stop. Now I know exactly how much a cup of something looks like. lol Anyway, at least I know I don't have a health issue. I just need to find the magic potion that helps me lose weight. =/
