Wow, that's an amazing amount of weight loss in such a short period of time!

While I'm struggling with different parts of PCOS at this time in my life, I'll still support you every step of the way!

Work it! Healthy habits you start now will help you through your pregnancy, and then you can pass them on to your baby!

Hello all! I'm new to the group, about a year into finding out about my PCOS. I'm really struggling with the weight loss right now and could use some support/tips. I started on Metformin a year ago, but it made me feel sick, and I thought I could just do it on my own so I stopped it. My doc recently suggested trying it again as I've literally put on 50 lbs in less than 2 years... weighing in at more than when I was pregnant with my son. In the past couple of months I have started working out again 3-5 days a week and watching my calories. A couple weeks ago I realized that the scale is not going down... at all. I'm stuck at 215 and it makes me so very sad. This is the highest I've ever been or plan to be, and I can't believe I let it get this bad. I started back on the Metformin a few days ago and it seems to be helping curb my appetite a bit, but I'm just wondering if I should be doing more. Any tips on what I should cut out of the diet all together? I try to avoid bread, but I love fruit and eat white rice at least once a week. I'm wondering if I should stop taking in most carbs and sugar? Should I do more than 5 days a week of cardio? I just need to feel like something is helping, I can't stay in this size of pants much longer and I hate looking in the mirror. 2 years ago I was in a size 6 and now I'm double that plus a size!! Is it even possible to get skinny again now??!! Sorry I'm ranting, just thought it might help to get some support from other ladies who are dealing with the same stuff.

Im sorry to hear you are suffering as well. I know there's not one way to fitness & nutrition. As you can see people are willing to share their story but not answer "questions" related to the topic though they are not required to do so...I can only suggest to research & go to your doctor with specific questions. I myself personally log everything I eat so I can monitor carbs. The problem is I'm still trying to find out what works for me. I have several appointments in the near future & I will try to remember to share with you as well. Keep your head up &u continue exercising & keeping carbs under whatever MFP suggest. Good luck to you!
