Checking back in after a week of sort of keeping to the Melaleuca diet.
The problems I am having with this diet with are:
1. The access bar and exercise. I think it would be best to eat this bar early in the morning, then do my exercise. But at my house things don't work out that way. In the mornings I seem to get bogged down with cooking breakfast and other things and excercise gets pushed to midday. At that time I eat the (delicious) caramel cruncher access bar, and then go for a walk with my husband and Tucker, our dog. That gives me a total of about 30-40 minutes of walking exercise. After the walk I have lunch. I don't think this is ideal.
2. The fiberwise. When best to drink.
3. Eating five times a day. I'm not hungry five times a day. And when I snack I tend to keep eating.
4. Finding exact calories for some foods/ meals.
5. Drinking water. Ugh.
6. No support. The great thing about weight watchers was the support. Knowing I would have to weigh each week kept me going. Also, when I was in weight watchers, three friends were also in ww. We encouraged one another. With this Melaleuca diet I am finding absolutely no support. No human support, that is. That's a major drawback.
What I like about this diet:
1. Love the Attain GC Control shakes. I like them best with almond milk, not so much with just water. Creme Brulee is my favorite. I'm not as crazy about the apple cinnamon flavor. I find that when I drink a shake for a meal ... or for a snack in the afternoon when I am wanting to devour a bag of, say, cheese puffs.... I can resist the tempatation.
2. Hmnmmm. What else do I like about this diet? Basically I think the main thing is the GC Conrol shakes...and that's about it.
I may give it a serious try this next week. Make an effort to eat that access bar early in the am and then get out there and exercise. And seriously eat my two snacks. Drink my water. Swear off cheese puffs. Eat lower carb.
But then again, maybe I'll just switch over to low carb completely.
Will check back next week........

You really have to watch the calorie postings on this site. Lots of them are wrong. We tend to check the packages first anyway! My wife and I both are having a great time doing this.
You're right, without the support, it's a little tougher but with real dedication, you can make it even if you have to go it alone!!
We love the GC's and especially the Apples and Cinnamon. It is our new favorite!!
Exercising first thing in the morning is optimal for me!! I get up really early, read my bible for a while, eat my access bar, read for another 15 minutes, then I head to the garage for my weight lifting and sometimes cardio. Helps make the day go better!!!
Both of us are doing this so it really helps!! I don't really like counting calories, but it's really an eye opener when you see what we put in our bodies and then expect those bodies to "sort it all out"!! YIKES!!! I was really hungry for the first week or two, but now I used to eating much fewer calories. Easy to make it through now!!
As soon as I'm through with my weightlifting and/or cardio exercises I immediately take my Proflex20 and Fiberwise combined! It's pretty tasty that way and my body gets the protein it's craving after a vigorous workout. Most folks don't get enough protein or fiber in their diet. We just mix the Vanilla Proflex with the Orange Fiberwise......yummy!!!
I've tried to cut out most of the carbs as well as wheat. Oh my......seems like everything and anything edible has wheat in it!! Well, we just do what we can and make the best of it!! It's been fun and really rewarding watching the mid section fat fall off. Really feels good to not be carrying around that extra 17 lbs!!
Have a great weekend!!
Johnny
PS: We've been customers for just over 16 years now and have just begun building our business!! Decided we have to get it done!!!0
