I just read the book last night and I really like it. I get what he says I have a few questions if anyone can answer I am a vegetarian that is not big on soy products so im not sure what I else I can eat. Also I have been looking for a whey power with no artificial sweeteners also organic if possible any suggestions? How much weight on average do you lose on this plan compared to just cutting regular calories which is what I have been doing.

I can recommend a couple of good protein powders for you: the Vemma Bod_e Shake, endorsed by Chris Powell, is a really balanced, all natural choice. Sweetened with stevia, it'll give you 15g protein, 24g carbs and 5g of fiber, the perfect hi carb breakfast that carb cycling recommends. It has your vitamins and minerals in it, aloe vera, green tea, and it tastes like chocolate ice cream! I use a lot of Vemma's products and have had great results with them...so much so that I am a consultant for the company. Here's a link: losingmybehind.vemma.com --> Product Tab --> Bod_e --> Products --> scroll down to the Bod_e Shake. It's $38/bag which will last you a month if you mix with milk and have one shake a day.
The second one is Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex. It has a lot of protein in one serving, 60 grams!. I do half a serving, personally. It is also all natural, no artificial anything in it. You can check it out on their website: http://www.optimumnutrition.com/products/natural-pro-complex-p-268.html. It's $118 for a 4.6# canister.

Hmmm... I wish I could help, but I'm not vegetarian. If you don't get much help here, I would do a search on the food and nutrition board regarding high protein vegetarian options.
Doing Choose to Lose with a vegetarian diet will be difficult, but likely not impossible. I am assuming that you do not eat any animal products, including eggs, fish or dairy? (The big three that I know some vegatarians do eat).
First off, try to get your protein from some of the sources listed in Chris's "Smart food guide" http://www.chrispowell.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/ChrisPowell_SmartFoodsList.pdf. Some of these are vegatarian friendly, depending on how strict you are. Do the best you can with trying to get one of those protein sources in each meal during the day. If that is not an option, feel free to subsitute other options if they fit the day. One of my favorite High Carb lunches is a black bean burger w/ brown rice and a big tossed salad along side. It gives me plenty of protein, without actually having meat. The downside is I technically double hitted the carb for the meal, but overall I think it is okay.
My recommendation would be to do your best to hit a minimum of 100g of protein with your other food options a day. Finding a good protein powder would be helpful. I just checked the one that I use, and the bag says it contains soy. Bummer.
Good Luck with your journey! I sure hope that someone is more helpful that I tried to be!

Edited to add: I have been on CTL since June. I have lost 49 pounds. This is the first diet that I have ever been able to stick with for more than a few weeks... not only that, but it is also the first diet that has shown me results quickly as well. Feel free to check out my blog if you want to read more of my story.0
