This series of Top Gear is the worst ever. Discuss

What was once a Sunday night is now a chore to see if it gets better...

Didnt see last night but I like it so far. The only bits I don't like is the 'car' bits. I live the entertainment stuff though. And at least richard Hammond hasn't got that stupid hair cut any more

I love it but it's becoming more and more obviously scripted as time goes on. Mind you Jeremy selling the P45 to Dragons Den the other week had me in tears with laughter.

I skipped the intro - get the feeling I missed the "This program is a paid advertisement for Kia cars" bit?

I don't think it's much different to previous series and that's perhaps the issue.

You mean at some point it was good?

I like cars so the content of the show is fine but I hate Jeremy Clarkson with a passion. If he is on my TV for more than 5 minutes my TV breaks. It ends up with a fist shaped hole in the screen.
  • I used to like it but it used to feel more like a show with an ensemble of three presenters (albeit with some special hairstyles) and specific cool car stuff. Now it feels like just Jeremy with him getting lots more airtime and the other two plus the cars are just fading into the background.

I thought that P45 segment was funny the other week, but it went on too long and had even less to do with real cars than usual!
  • I really like it. If I'm not enjoying an episode or any programme I just turn it off - don't really let it be an issue!

    Don't watch it anymore.

Found it was turning into a car themed comedy programme and I found some of Clarksons antics just irritating.

I now much prefer the James May programs, the one on the glider was fantastic.

If I want to watch any car related stuff I find 5th gear more to more taste.

The parking sensor bit was interesting but I did actually doze off during the programme.

The irksome thing is that while it's ok for a cheapish car - though not really that cheap - it's far from new.
Yet Clarkson did his mock-amazement about it, despite that I'm pretty sure they've tested them before and will have no doubt seen similar.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just imagine if I had one I'd drive about town challenging it to park everywhere.

Have to agree its probably had its day. Used to like it but Clarkson gets on my nerves these days.

It's on iplayer if you want to see them ruin the grounds.

Presumably, the ground was due a returf before a major event? (I'm asking!) I can't see them thinking that the grass wouldn't be ruined because any petrolhead given an open piece of flat grass and permission to go crazy is going to do handbrake turns.
