gym

today is my first day at the gym with a trainer, wish me luck

  • How was it? I'll be you were a little sore, but it is so much fun. I absolutely love the elliptical machines. I have bad knees and I'm able to get on those things and just go. The gym where I'm at has TV's set up in front of them, so you can get lost watching a show or bring a book -- there is a built in book ledge so you can read as you go.
  • yes i am a little sore, did 8 miles on bike yesterday plus went swimming,today weights and 3 miles on bike.alternating weight with cardio. we will see.bought a pair of 10 pants today!!!

    Oh nice sounds like you are doing wonderful. My brother goes there sometimes and Im told we would get a discount throuh my husbands work so I may check into it. Having a personal trainer sounds nice too. Good job keep up the good work! :)
  • go on line and get a free 3 day pass and see what u think. my trainner is Amber Barton realy good.
  • How is everyone doing at the gym? I need to start working with the weights again. I have been concentrating on swimming and the elliptical machine. I really want to start adding some muscle to my body so that I increase my metabolism while at rest.

    i have been trying to go but things aren't working out,so just swimming this week . will go on thrusday and see how i do.you are doing so good. keep it up.
  • I have been doing a water aerobics class every Tue and Thur for about 50 minutes. I try to go another 2-3 times per week and do the elliptical and then work with weights. I also walk for 30 minutes and do a little yoga during my lunch hour every day. It makes for a really long day. I leave my house for work at 6:45 a.m. and don't get home from the gym until 7:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    I feel guilty if I don't go to the gym 5 days a week....I know how much I need to go, though.
