Hiya all sorry but yet another question be sick of me soon haha
How essential is it that you do not eat under your BMR?
On a good day calorie intake will be 2200ish and on a normal day its round about 1400 - 1800 calories.
WEIGHT - 22 Stone 12lbs (Proper fat lad)
BMR - 2710
TDEE - 3727
Now i have lost 1 stone since my start date 6 weeks ago eating between 1200 - 1800 but i feel everything has just stopped so i assume i am not eating enough.
Thanks for any help

it does sound a bit low, also depends upon what you're eating and how much exercise you're doing, try adding more exercise for sure!!!0

I try to do at least 90 mins - 2hrs exercise a day mostly walking, step aerobics, weights, normally burn around 1000 calories which i can never seem to eat back so if i am right i am only really eating between 200 and 800 cals . scary though when you put it like that0

Yeah, once the initial freefall ends its a bugger to get going again, try and bring the end of day net total up a bit.. But do it gradually . Exactly the same thing happened to me as my net after food - calories burned was too low.
(Careful trusting mfp's calories burned though exercise though, it tends to come in on the high side)0 -
You should be eating at least some of your exercise calories back. You are wearing waaaaaaay too little.0

Thank you for all the tips and advice its appreciated.
I am really struggling to get my calories over 2000 i sometimes feel i am eating junk just to take me over pretty sure i will get there tho
Just goes to show the old saying eat less move more is not the answer.0 -
I'm starting from nearly 27 stone with similar BMR numbers and I finding the same, picking up the food intake slowly is working OK for me, just keep an eye on the amount of fat and sugar you're having.0

Need a little bit more info. Do you count everything you eat? Do you weigh and measure everything?
What exercise do you do? What level of activity did you input to get your BMR and TDEE results.
I would recommend you up your calories by 100 cals every week until you reach 3000 cals. You then need to stay at 3000 cals for 4-6 weeks and assess your weight loss after that. If you struggle to increase the calories in a healthy way try nuts/peanut butter which have a lot of calories but are good for you.
What kind of carb/fat/protein intake are you getting? You can manually set these on MFP Through change goals>custom goals.
Try 40% carbs 30% protein 30% fat
With exercise, I would recommend walks, swimming and weightlifting where you start light, but increase the weight every session (Stronglifts 5x5/starting strength).0 -
Eat high cal but healthy foods like avocado, nuts, peanut butter, seeds and milk0

What is your BMI at that weight?
I don't necessarily think BMR as done by an equation (as opposed to tested in a lab) is very accurate if you are obese - the equations assume a certain percentage of lean weight and therefore the result is skewed for somebody that has a higher percentage of fat (because fat doesn't burn as many calories as lean weight).
For example, we (dietitians) usually aim to feed obese hospital patients to their BMR in order to maintain their weight (ie we don't add any stress and activity factors). This would mean that they would need to eat less than BMR in order to lose weight. If you are a healthy weight or even just in the overweight range then you probably shouldn't eat below your BMR but if you are above that then I wouldn't go based on BMR. I think 1200 is far too low for you though, I would probably go with about 1800-2000 + exercise calories.
Hope that helps.0
