Pregnancy and HRM

My husband just recently asked if I've changed my weight stored in my HRM for workouts. I honestly never considered this with the weight gain from pregnancy.
Has anyone else updated their weight in the HRM as they've gained it through pregnancy? Or did you leave it at your prepregnancy weight? The more I think about it the more it would make sense to do so.

I would update it. I don't think it can account for the extra energy your body is expending because of the pregnancy though, since our blood volume/oxygen levels are different. I wonder how it effects V02 max...just thinking out loud now. lol.0

Oh my gosh! You're so right! Now I have to think if I want to reassess that too! Ugh! lol0

I update my gains on mine. I want credit for the extra calories burned that comes with being heavier!0

My OB told me to leave mine at pre-pregnancy and that the additional calories was nominal so not to worry about it as I put on weight.0

I'm 21 weeks and just updated mine. I find that my burns are about 150 more than what they were reading previously. Do you eat back your exercise cals? Have you added extra cals for different trimesters at all?0

I eat back my exercise calories and I updated my calories with each trimester. I'm currently 37 weeks and up 31lbs, which for me (this is my 3rd child) is normal for my weight gain average.0

Ahh gotcha! I haven't upped my calories by trimester unless I feel like I need to eat them, which typically only occurs on days that I haven't worked out. If I didn't change my HRM but did up my cals, the additional burn would just even out somewhere in the mix. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well!0
