I'm having sciatica problems, got an injection today. Doc says rest for a week. And I will. But of all the different exercise I do, not running is the worst. I worry I will lose momentum. Being more injured is worse, I know. And worrying is a waste of energy. Any encouraging stories about taking a week off?

I've taken a week off before when I pulled a muscle in my back. I think it actually helped my runs after. You wont lose momentum.....you're too addicted to running :-). Give your body time to heal and don't feel guilty. Hope you feel better soon!

I have taken a week off here and there when things get a little crazy and it actually helped. I wasn't injured, but I came back refreshed and raring to go! Hope the week goes by fast for you
