I've been re-watching the 10'th lately. Out of order.
This weekend I saw The Girl in the Fireplace, and it occurred to me that it is probably the best episode of Doctor Who ever aired.
I figured I'd ask what episode others felt was the best, but then people often can't pick just one. So how about three?
My other two choices would be The Big Bang and Vincent and the Doctor.

"Vincent and the Doctor", "The Doctor's Wife" & "Blink". I adore "The Girl in the Fireplace" too. Limiting it to just 3 is more than my brain can process.0

^ Basically my list right there. Those four are the best. You have wonderful taste :drinker:0 -
Wait can I name 3 from each season? There is just no way to limit it to only 3! LOL
Ok IF I had to pick only 3...
Blink
Rose
and I just loved The Unicorn and the Wasp
and The Girl in the Fireplace
and The Family of Blood
UGH!!!0 -
Thanks Collegiategirl. :blushing:
"The Unicorn and the Wasp" was wonderful too. See, it is just to difficult :noway:
Still fun.0 -
You know, Midnight and Turn Left both stood out as well. Not top 3, but still, very very good.0
-
Midnight! Midnight is my favorite Davies episode. Basically all my other favorites are Moffatt.0
-
I would have to say: The Doctor's Wife, A good man goes to war, and the one where he meets TARDIS in human form0
-
Picking only 3 is difficult, but I would say
The Girl in the Fireplace
The Empty Child (part 1 of this episode) & The Doctor Dances (part 2 of this episode)
The Christmas Invasion0 -
1. Vincent and The Doctor
2. Blink ----Sally Sparrow should have been a companion!
3. Silence in the Library0 -
The Doctors wife by Neil Daimen
The Christmas Carol
Doomsday0 -
I would not venture to put these in any particular order.
"The Doctor's Wife"
"The Silence"
"A Good Man Goes to War"
I realize that counting two parters might be cheating but this is a hard thing to do.
Because Demons run when a good man goes to war!!
My three least favorite would probably be:
That one where the cyberman were defeated by a father's love. That was kind of lame.
That disappointing one where the doctor was both in the Pandorica and outside of it at that same time.
Any episode with the Slavine. I mean honestly having a zipper on your forehead so that you can slip off your human disguise.
I try to pretend that those episodes never happened.
EDIT: I would make a few honorable mentions since three is such a restrictive list. The girl that waited. The one with the dream master and that one where the doctor trys to live as normal person and he even joins a soccer team.0 -
Vincent and the Doctor. I ugly cried and sobbed into a pillow. All the others I love are too hard to choose, this one always jumps to the front of my mind.0
-
1. Vincent and The Doctor
2. Blink ----Sally Sparrow should have been a companion!
3. Silence in the Library
This is pretty close to mine if I have to chose. I also love te Titanic one, because I thouht Astrid would make a great companion, even short term.0 -
The Doctors wife by Neil Daimen
The Christmas Carol
Doomsday
Blink is a fave and the first ep I ever saw.
Girl in the Fireplace & Doctor's Wife are probably my other tops.
Doomsday is love/hate - great ep but it hurts!0 -
The Unearthly Child, the very first episode of Doctor Who, sets up the next 50 years...
Caves of Androzani, shows us how far the Doctor will go to save a companion
Turn Left - answers all the what ifs .....what if the Doctor hadn't been there... great acting
I did really like the Doctor's Wife by Neil Gaiman, just like watching old episodes by Douglas Adams, (yes that Douglas Adams)0 -
Caves of Androzani, shows us how far the Doctor will go to save a companion
Definitely one of the best episodes of Davison's tenure.
But man, does the Doctor ever get kicked around in that story.0 -
The Girl in the Fireplace
The Doctor Dances
Blink0
