http://www.conair-store.com/product_detail.asp?T1=CON+LT3WB&SKW=HAIRGROOMLADY&menu=&subcat=&hdr=GROOMING#back <--- That (or anything similar) I usually have to use them so often that I have to buy a new one every 6-12 months. I just go to Walmart and look near the razors. Any type of grocery/drug store should have one. They're not as harsh as waxing or using a regular razor, but they make your skin very smooth for a couple of days. Be SUPER careful around eyebrows...I missed once and had to draw mine on for a couple of weeks. Ooops.

I do have facial hair around the chin area and on the upper lip. And I really hate it. I remove the dark hairs around the chin area with tweezers. I have to do it every day and I have the feeling that it gets more and more. The hair on the upper lip is blond, so I don't have to remove it regularly.

I hope when loosing weight, the growth of the facial hair will go back, too.
I gained a lot of weight in the last 3 years and since then I have these problems. Never had before...

Yes I also have the facial hair problem too! It isn't very fun and my ex husband told me it made me look manly so I tweeze mine also but I gained alot of weight while with him also. Lost weight while working and now the weight is back on hoping on here I can lose some weight and it will get somewhat better like it did the last time! Keeping my fingers crossed that everything I am doing helps!

I suffered from it also.. My ex made me quite self-conscious about it. I am fair skinned and light haired but in the sun it 'glows' so its noticeable.
I've used facial waxes, plucked, the little personal 'shaver', what has worked the best for me is the weight loss. As I have lost the weight the facial hair has gotten a lot better. I still have some but not near as much as I once did and it’s not near as noticeable..

I wax and tweeze every week if not more. i have been doing this for 9 years...since i was 14!!! and i am growing tired of this regimen. i want to save up for laser removal. i have been researching it and sound like something permanent and helpful.

My mom so graciously pointed out to me at a very young age that I have a "super hairy face" and began waxing my eyebrows at the ripe old age of 11, telling me "beauty is pain". When I discovered I had PCOS I was relieved to know there was at least a reason for my "super hairy face" but have only been able to manage it with waxing. Luckily our local beauty school charges $5 for eyebrow wax, but I also ask for my lip and chin to be done at the same time, and they have yet to charge me extra. For all of you who face the tweezers daily, check into your local beauty colleges the results of waxing last much longer. Good luck ladies! :D

I have it on my chin, upper lip, stomach, side burn area. I hate it!! I tweeze every day or if I'm short on time sometimes I'll shave it. I also shave my arms because they have gotten worse too. My dr said he won't prescibe anything for the hair unless I go off my met, which I can't do.

I have some on my chin & upper lip and so I have to pluck it off with tweezer every other day since it grows really fast. Sucks but theres no other way to ward off excess testosterone levels :grumble:

    Hey,
how does this little thing work different than a razor? (would love to know) cuz I've used the regular electric razor for years now for same areas a man uses on face and if that works differently in a better way, I'd love to know. I have to shave daily like a man on face/neck, upperlip.

    thanks for any insight/help!

Yep. I started with electrolysis on my upper lip which worked great. I then found a great deal for laser hair removal on a site like Groupon or WagJag and am using that to finish removing the hair on my face.
I also got a Silkn, a home IPL system, for the large areas like my legs. Definitely worth the $

I also have facial hair. My brother used to make fun of me for it he always told people I was more manly than he is. I was in 8th grade and one of my guy friends pointed out that I had long hairs under my chin. I've been embarrassed about it ever since. My husband is very supportive of that though. He knows that my scars and my facial hair are all part of the problem and he's never once made me feel like less of a woman. My doctor put me on a medicine spironolactone which is a high blood pressure medication but it has a side affect that decreases access body hair. I still have to shave everyday. But I sure notice a huge differance when I'm not on it.

I'm 20 years old and have had facial hair since freshman year of high school. I was recently put on Spironolactone, it blocks the production of the hormone that causes the facial hair growth. I've only been on it a few weeks, and it can take at least 6 months before I see and results, but I am hopeful. It also helps to decrease acne, and it also has a diuretic which can help with a little weight loss. It works best when paired with a hormonal birth control.

I took spiro for years and it didn't make any difference and lazer removal is NOT permanent. :(

I tweeze weekly. But don't lose faith!!

Because of the PCOS and my weight, my doctor told me that she wouldn't prescribe fertility meds until I lost 50 pounds. At 269, I hadn't ever had a regular period. I was hairy as a panda bear and miserable. After I lost 35 pounds I became regular, and I'm ovulating for the first time.

And the hair is lessening. It's not gone, but it's less. I think part of it is hormonal changes that are helping my ovulation, and part of it is losing some of my double chin which exasperated the chin hairs.

    Don't lose hope!

I have a lot of facial hair, and a lot more body hair than most. I'm light skinned, but those whiskers shine in the light. lol

I pluck and shave. I don't worry about it anymore. I figure that there are worse things in life.

I have to agree with that being the most uncomfortable thing you have to deal with... I have it and overtime it increased and I really can't stand it. when i was doing ww and lost 42lbs I seen that it started to go away gradually.. Now, I just use tweezers to remove what i do not want there (and trust me it is time consuming). When i was 12 my sister encouraged me to use one of those shaver things... something like a conair thingy but it made it worse for me. I find that the hair is not as bad when i use tweezers... I guess with metformin and continuous weight loss it will slow down... (so I hope) as of right now i try not to let it bother me since it has been 11plus yrs... i guess its apart of who I am.

My hair on my face has taken over and is not just a mustache but a beard and sideburns as well. I gained weight especially in my midsection front and back, and the fatigue and lack of energy is unexplainable and last my mood swings worsened so bad I thought I was Bipolar. After my Gyno diagnosed me I was started back on Birth Control until I was ready to get pregnant and then he would send me to a fertility specialist. Well my Internal Medicine took me off birth control after 6 months because my blood pressure was to high and she felt that it was counteractive (why keep me on BC to raise my BP to take a med just to bring it down) so I went 2 more years on BP meds only until I was ready to get prego. Then the Fertility Doc added Metformin, and Clomid and with 4 tries it didnt work so then tried one IUI with failure so me and my fiance decided to wait a while and lose weight first which is when i got on Spiro to help with the hair while I was losing weight. It has been 2 years I still have not lost any weight I will lose about 15-20 pounds and get stuck and unable to lose anymore when i need to lose over a 100 pounds to help with a healthy lifestyle and pregnancy. I dont know what to do! My facial hair is still growing daily. I have had Laser Hair Removal for 4 years and it has improved my side burns but my chin, cheeks, and under chin/neck grow just as fast. I use a Buff Puff to pull the hair out more then shave with a Gillette Fusion(best one yet) everyday, and often by night I can feel stuble and this is on the medicine. Luckily I have a fiance who loves me no matter what but I can say at work I feel people looking at my face. Plus my hair leaves black marks on my face so my neck has spots all over it. I dont know I am looking into Electrolysis next it is said to be more permanent.

I take Spironoloctane 100 mg twice a day
Metformin HCL ER 500 mg a twice a day but he said I can take it 3 if I want although I DONT want to cause it messes with my stools (if I eat healthier I notice it doesnt mess with stools as much as fatty foods)
Propanolol ER 60mg once a day

    OTC
    Multivitamin
    Super B Complex
    Fish Oil
    Vitamin D3
    Vitamin C
    Cinnamon

I started using Vaniqa facial cream back in September 2012 and right around the 8 week mark of using the cream, I started noticing less and less facial hair. I felt I could grow a beard better and faster than my husband. I used to pluck on occasion, but had to shaver side burns, cheeks, chin and neck area daily. By night, I could have shaved a 2nd time before going to bed, but never did. My husband, thankfully is so understanding. He has never once made me feel insecure about it and always wants to touch my face no matter what. I would always pull aways, but lately I will let him touch my face. It's an expensive form of treatment at $132 per tube that's supposed to last a month, but I was able to use it from mid September to mid January because you put just a very thin layer on. My insurance did not cover any of it because it's considered for cosmetic usage. It did cause a few ingrowns the first couple of weeks, but now I only get one or two a month. I only have to shave once a week and do the occasional plucking every couple of months or when I get an ingrown.
