  • Hi,

Im Courtney (23) From CALIFORNIA :)

    5'3"
    SW: 118
    CW: 113
    GW: 105

I'm constantly being judged for wanting to work out and lose fat, because I am a small person (but my goal weight is accurate to my height and body shape!!) ...Anyways, I used to be a dancer, and during college I gained weight that I am looking to take it off, tone up, and FEEL healthy. I am looking for a supportive network of women! For the past several years I have had a lot of health issues (IBS, kidney stones) and I am trying to improve my overall wellbeing.

I try to eat relatively healthy *tho I do have a sweet tooth! Over the last couple weeks I started to workout again- I try to take 2 classes at the gym, 2 yoga classes, and ride the stationary bike every week. I have increased my water consumption from virtually NOTHING to 2+liters a day and that in concert with exercise and better food options, I have almost completely eliminated my IBS!

I also like to incorporate "fitness" into my leisurely activities. I have been practicing to ride my unicycle, and last night I took my very first aerial silks class! I like to ride bikes, go for walks with my BF, and try to keep moving in lou of sitting around (if im bored, i eat)

 Also, Id just like to make a quick shout out to my BF for being a huge support in my life and encouraging me to do what I want. and for linking my up with ADVOCARE products. They have definitely been a factor in my recent success!! :)

Anyways- thats me, Friend me if you would like a fitness buddy  we could keep each other accountable... I know how it goes to lose sight of the goal and "fall off the wagon" so to speak. dont give up!!!

  • My name is Toni...I'm from California

Yes this exciting I am really going to concentrate my efforts on adjusting the MENU. I eat simi healthy only because I don't set aside the need time. March that MUST change. I am the lovely Pear Shape and yup everything I eat rest at my thighs, hips and boootay..so I am trying to make the adjustment to become a more healthier me. I have also learned as a Pear Shape.. that I have to constantly move this body.. and I have incoporated a brisk fast past 20min walk 2x a week I want to get it up to 4x a week..

Lets go ladies.. DON'T Look Back we can't get that back..... let's change our future,,,

    Hi Toni :)

It is great that you are getting into shape! Good for you! :) and walking is very good for the body... Just make sure you incorporate other types of exercise... there are two very important things to remember when wanting to lose weight and feel great:

    1. WATER WATER WATER.... drink lots of water. (did you know, drinking a glass of water before you eat a meal will make you feel full faster and help you to not over eat!)

    2. Muscle burns more than fat! So the more muscle you have on your body the more calories you will burn during the day doing normal everyday activities!

    Keep it up!

Hi ladies! I did Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 last month and I felt like it helped to condition me and helped me lose some inches. This month I am working on C25K. I am also using pinterest to get some other exercise ideas. So, I will probably interval run 3-4 times a week and then do an at home work out the other days. I am tempted to use my Planet Fitness membership that I have do help me with some circuit training after the run. I prefer to run outside as opposed to a treadmill. That's just me tho.

Part of my focus this month is getting more towards healthy and clean eating. Not really low calorie, but natural and healthy.
I am about a size 8 right now and hope to be a size 4 when it is all said and done. I do not expect that to happen this month tho! I am trying to not focus on pounds since that has a tendency to get me down. I will be focusing on measurements and they way my clothes fit. I am an apple shape, so my stomach is my problem area.

    SW: 159.8
    GW: 125
Waist (right at my belly button): 34
    Hips: 37
    R arm: 11
    L arm: 10.4
    R thigh: 23
    L thigh: 22.5

Hello everyone! I just joined MFP a few days and have been looking for an active group. I think I may have just found it. I have found that now that I'm getting a bit older it is getting much harder to lose weight. I used to be able to drop 5 pounds in a matter of days. No so anymore, so my goal for March is to lose 5 pounds. I have a total of 27 pounds to lose, and I've already lost 7, so I'm on my way. I just started exercising for an hour a day a couple of weeks ago, and I feel like that is what is helping the most. Looking forward to the support and motivation of this group.

Hi everyone, Im Sarah from the UK, and Im 33. I've recently started New Rules Of Lifting For Women and Im loving how it makes me feel. I have a lot of weight to lose but Im trying to focus on my size and loss of inches...at the moment Im battling with not being focused on the scales. I have increased my calorie intake to TDEE -20%and at the moment Im trying to stick with this.

My goals are to make sure I do lifting 3 times a week, lose at least 1% body fat this month, some inches, and hopefully some pounds but i need to not focus on this last one!!!

Hi everyone! I'm Kathy and I live in New York. I recently joined MFP after quitting smoking three months ago. Over the years I have let myself go and gained a lot of weight. No real reason other than boredom. So, now that I'm feeling good about my health now, I decided once and for all to stop the excuses and get my butt in gear! I was first weighed at work at 224 pounds....NOT EXCUSABLE for me given I'm only 5'1. I'm a size 18 and I'm only 39 years old. Time to get those inches gone! I now work out 1/2 hour each day, normally brisk walks at work and riding my stationery bike at home. I'm happy to report that my weigh in yesterday was great! I am down to 213.5. My ultimate goal would be to get to 130, but my realistic goal is to get down to 160. I didn't get this way over night, and I won't get thin over night! We all have the strength to lose weight....being on here proves it!

I look forward to seeing all of our progresses!
