Has anyone had experience with them? The package on the front clearly says "gluten free" but a friend of mine said she had a bad reaction to them. I read the ingredients and I suppose there could be something hidden in the phrase 'rice crips'. It's not bothering me yet - but I sometimes get sick thinking that a food will make me sick. Like mass hysteria or something. Someone relieve me of my fears? LOL

Blah, bad feeling is confirmed. I found my hidden gluten in 'crisp rice'. It's malted with wheat. *pout* Well I guess the kids get the other pouch I bought.

Don't forget though - she may have an issue with nuts as well. That could be the allergic reaction she's experiencing. They are supposed to be below a certain ppm of gluten but I think there's always a chance for cross contamination. If it says gluten free, you can test it and see if you have any issues. I wouldn't assume because you're friend had a reaction that it's a gluten one. It may very well be another reaction to something else.

I only eat certified gluten free items. They have to have less than 10ppm or 5ppm depending on the certification. The government says 20ppm is gluten free but everyone I know thinks that is way too much and still has reactions.
