Phew just got done with my workout. 45 min of booty and thigh workout. HARD. lol Feel great now though. I have to change my workout times to the afternoon since I changed curriculum and it takes us longer to work through this one then last years. I ail be working out around 2ish now. Ok Hope yall had a great day and I hope you had fun in DC Vini. What did you go visit?

Hey Mezy! I just did TF Fire 45 and I am on fire! Lol! It feels good to be getting back in the swing of things.i was off work today so I got to workout in 3:30pm today versus my 4:30am workout (killer)! I can't wait to hear about Vini's trip also! I am from DC and still have so much to see here! Lol!0

Hi ladies, I pushed play today and did CLX push 3 and a HIIT 15. I hate that I push so hard that I forget I got to do a HIIT after I am done lifting. It's got to do my body good but wow it sure does suck.
I had a fun weekend. Not really my thing. My hubby works in DC area. His company installs HVAC and plumbing in high rises. The trip was for a subby awards cermony for companies that do silmiar work, and all I had to do was be arm candy.I spent most of my day on saturday packing kids, dogs and getting my hair/makeup done. It takes an hour and 45mins to get to tyson's corner where we stayed at the ritz carlton from our house. Nice but not really our thing. The ride was nice cause we got to talk without being interuped. LOL, I was a nervouse mess but we had cocktails and then a really nice dinner, with his boss. oh and about 200 other people. It was a really big to do and I had to get a prom dress type dress. It was fun but my hubby was "working" putting his name out there with the snots.
Some weren't bad. We looked at it as a night out and free nice meal with open bar. I don't even want to think of how many "drink" cals I consumed. We did think that our timeshare has nicer rooms then the ritz. The only thing it had going for it was the well stocked fridge in the room with wine and spirits and club sodas. Just don't touch them or you'll pay and arm and leg. The bottled water was $6.50 and 4oz coffee was $5.00. Crazy, I have better things to waste money on then that. I am just glad his work picked up the tab cause I have lots other things I could have done with $500. (cost of room and dinner tickets) It was nice to be away and I felt very pretty. Sometimes it's fun to dress up and not have to worry about what other people think since you don't know them anyway. Oh and the mall connected to the ritz was amazing so Lucy you'll have to check it out. I have to say I think DC has better shopping then NYC.

Vini, I love the new profile pic! Glad you had a good trip to DC. The hubby and I will be spending 2 weeks in DC this summer for our IVF cycle.... so not exactly a vacation, but close enough.
I haven't worked out in a couple of days. I had to take my TEAS V exam for Nursing School so I have been studying like mad for the past 4 days. I ended up scoring within the 98th percentile in the country. I am super stoked. I also start volunteering at a local hospital today, so my workout will have to be later this evening.0 -
Did my workout today 60 minutes of pilates. and burpees for 15 of that. UGH I hate burpees. I did as many as I could. Probably about 60 of the 100 we were suppose to do.
Vini-- I love Tysons. It is an awesome mall and my sister makes me go with her everytime she comes for a visit. So many awesome stores. I am glad you had a nice time with the hubby.
Jeni--- awesome job on the TEAS V exam!!! I'm not sure what my sister got. I am sure it was that high. She is an over achiever when it comes to grades. LOL She is going to be graduating in 2 months!!!! She will be an official nurse without a job. hehe She has put out a few apps but I am sure she wont have any trouble finding one. She is a great person and I am glad she finally took my advice to go to school and be a nurse. I told her she needs to be one since we were 20. Oh well better late then never. =D

Oh Melzy how I missed you!!! I had to laugh at the arm thing cause that's how I feel right now :P I pushed play today and did Fire 45ez. It kicked my butt cause i am crazy sore. I hope I can get threw tomro's workout. We are to be getting snow and I may just have fun in it with the kiddos and say heck with working out.
Jeni That is AWESOME, congrats it's so nice when your hard work finally pays off. You should enjoy your time in DC try to go to inner harbor or is national harbor? I forget......... have to get back to you on that one we went there for vacation this past summer, went to see the zoo and took a water taxi. It's where the gaylord is. Good times. My brother is moving there this summer So I'll be down there more often maybe we could all hook up and meet. How cool would that be

Did my workout! 50 minutes of crazy! lol I am so sore. I forgot how tough pilates can be. My booty and abs are so sore but that's a good thing been a long time since I have been sore. =D
That would diffently be awesome to all get together and do something. We are just a few hours from each other.Sort post today my hubby is home cause of snow and the littlest is soooooo whiney. I am sooooo going to lay down and chill before I make dinner. lol
The no wheat thing is going good. I don't want to stick my head in a loaf of bread and eat my way out anymore and my ibs is gone! I also have not had a migraine in 4 weeks!!! Even with the bad seasonal allergies. That is not a coincidence. I got my mom on the no wheat thing because she has IBS too and she said to me today. You know I love pizza and spaghetti right? I said yes mom I love those things too. lol It sucks but hey I feel better so that's a plus that negates the negatives.0 -

Melzy, good job on the no wheat! There are plenty of gluten free yummies in the grocery stores and in specialty stores around here for when you need to fill a certain craving... like cupcakes. Mmm.
Today I re-arranged my entire apartment (the lady downstairs must have had a cow with all the furniture moving! Mwa ha!) and did Upper 20. After that I was sooo tired. We have a lot of heavy wooden furniture (I love wood stuff- it lasts FOREVER) so the bed and some of the dressers were a lot heavier than I thought they were... but then again, this is the first time I've moved everything around by myself. I sent my hubby a text with the new and improved apartment set up, and he said "Who did you get to help you move all that?!" He just would not believe that I moved it all by myself!0 -
Whoop Whoop! I did fire 60 today I love that one. I am feeling really out of shape though I used to move right through that one but now I feel like 25 min into it holy crap. I am so sore too. I just don't want to lift my legs cause it hurts them and my butt and my calfs and....... you get the point. I know doing it will help me feel less sore but tomro I lift again. So I have come to accept, I'll be sore for 6 more weeks
Better be in real good shape by then.
Melzy- I hear you about whining hubbies and kids. Snow day for us too.I see your kicking butt for longer periods now. I forgot to say it yesturday, but you did 60 mins. Time to break out those TF workouts that are long. : P
Jeni- I love to rearrange things but hate to do so myself for the same reason you found out. Wood is heavy!!! : P The hubby will come home and see all your muscle and relize that you did do it by yourself. Lifting heavy makes your body pop LOL, thumper couldn't say anything about you moving things around either! LOVE IT!!! I really like your new pic as well.

Hey Ladies, just checking in! I rode my recumbent bike last night. I am finding i have to ease back into my TF, I am doing it every other day for the most part. I have some back issues, so I don't want to over do it. I am already seeing some minor results and feeling better so that is good. Vini, I LOVE TYSON'S Corner Mall! I try to stay away from there...too many temptations! It would be nice for us to get together one day. You all have become a part of my life....the motivators I need! LOL! Maybe one day we can make that happen.....I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday...until tomorrow!0

Today I did Fire 60. Although it's the longest it is by far my favorite. Also, my CLX just came in the mail today! Woohoo! If I'm feeling super motivated later on today, I might give it a go. If I really like it, I might just do TF on one of my rest days and switch to mostly CLX. I really like the weight work in TF, so I'm sure I'll enjoy CLX. Have any of you other ladies tried it?0

I just did CLX push 3 and a HIIT 20. I am pooped.
I love CLX. I know silly, but I haven't done the whole program. Just the hybrids with it, CLX/TF. I am doing CLX/TF Janelle Summers hybrid. I do have to say I saw the most results when combining the two. So far I haven't tracked my results but I am due to this weekend. *crossing my fingers and legs and toes*
I find her cardio in CLX alittle slow after TF guess that's why I haven't done it. Maybe next, I have 6 weeks to go with the hybrid. so we'll see. I think both Lucy and Melzy have to program so lets hear it ladies

Well, I relized why I am so tired. When I did my workout I upped my legs by 10lbs I felt i could do this and it's push month so "go heavy or go home". When hubby came home I told him that I needed more weight for a move but we didn't have it. He told me "you can flip it over and do it like this instead". As he is showing me I see there are no inserts out on the stand. I said "where are the inserts?". He says to me "where else? inside the weights". WHAT!! No wonder I was having a had time That's 5 more lbs on each side so instead of 10 I was upped by 15, EACH SIDE. I always keep them out and he always uses them but I never checked. Lesson learned. In case you were wondering we use power blocks so you can look it up in your spare time
I won't be measuring this weekend I have another week to go. I got ahead of myself. Thought you might enjoy hearing my storey, Goodnight ladies!!

Vini~LOL. You made me laugh cuz I've done that before with not checking on a weight and wondering to yourself why you feel so weak. It happens. I know what power blocks are. The hubster and I have been wanting to get a set since it's great on lack of space. We're just waiting for the price to go down. I'm assuming you like them? Is it similar to what Chalene uses on CLX: Burn Circuit 1? We have hand weights right now and our heaviest is 15 lbs. I told the hubster that I'm going to need heavier hand weights...hopefully, after taxes we can make that investment for power blocks. Do you use gloves when you're lifting? Which program are you doing to do after the hybrid you're doing now?
I'm heading to the free weight room tomorrow at the gym with the hubster. I hope it doesn't turn out as bad as I think it would in my head.

Hmm I dont know if I want to do TF 60. LOL I am about to die with the long workouts. I take a lot of breaks!! It is also pilates so not a lot of jumping mostly muscle work. I don't know of any GF cupcakes. I WANT. lol
We do have quite a few GF stuff in the stores around here though. I was surprised. I never noticed it before. No workout today or yesterday. I just was doing all kinds of cleaning and I got tried. I will do one more tomorrow. Maybe sunday too a short one and make up for my days off.
ROFL Vini Go GIRL! You were workout out super hard and didn't even know it. LOL that almost made me spit out my water.
Glad yall are enjoying CLX and that you are about to start it Jeni. It is great! I've done it 2 times now. =D It is the one that has made me the strongest at least I think. P90X prob did too but the workouts are so much longer and Tony is a dork.0 -
So I did the first CLX workout today (Burn Circuit 1) and I discovered 2 things:
1. Bands kind of suck with CLX. It takes me FOREVER to wrap them around my feet, unwrap them, get the next band adjusted, etc. I would love to look into some power blocks.
2. I thought I was ok while doing the workout, but afterward... holy cow. My hamstrings are really shaky! Every time I go to sit down they get all wobbly on me!
Overall, I really liked Burn 1. It's nice to change it up sometimes. However, I think I'm going to throw in either a Fire or a HIIT workout tomorrow (which is scheduled to be an "off"day)0 -
Hi ladies unplanned rest day for me. @ Jeni- the bands can be a pain. I tried it two workouts into it then I was like there is noway. However one nice thing is she dosn't move as fast as she does in TF scuplt and it is shorter so you can take your time. you made me laugh about the hamies and being sore. I can relate.
@ Melzy- that's just what my hubby said well his words were "you could be lifting more if you tried harder, see you didn't know you lifted heavier and you did it". Um yeah I did it but I needed to up it more slowly. Oh and as a side note His mouth fell open when I told him what I "sumo squated". That was the best. I feel like such a beast though. I'll tell you and it is way more then Charlean. I did 50lbs on each side total 100lbs. CRAZY right. I feel so strong but like in the same breath like I shouldn't be lifting this heavy, Charlean dosn't. I tell myself it's cause she is doing a video and wants to show great form. That she lifts really heavy off camera.
@Stel- Powerblocks are just like what charlean uses but made a lot better. Selectechs are junk. If you ever see them in the store they are cheaply made. I am sure they work and if your gental to them they may last but my hubby was going to be using them too. So we did some research and found Power blocks as being the same thought proscess. They don't take up much space and can go very light or very heavy. We got ours on craglist, used but it mint condition. You can find many there. We got ours in november. Powerblocks is changing the design a little and you get get the "old" ones cheapier. I do like them they are easier to grip and you don't have to have gloves but I do. As for what will i do next. I have no idea! I was thinking body beast but I have never done CLX the whole way through so maybe her. Or I might repeat this schudle, since it is kicking my butt so thoughly.
