FitBit Zip

Since I'm committed to this change in the way I live, I've purchased a FitBit Zip so I really have a good idea of how much I'm moving around. Being able to track that even if it is not 100% accurate will give me a good picture of what I am not doing.

Is anyone else using a pedometer type device? I"m waiting for my little friend to arrive!

I use a cheap pedometer. I'm planning to get something else soon. Not sure if I'm going to go with one of the pedometer types or the HRM (heart rate monitor) or both. Some people use just the HRM for exercise and the Fitbit for the rest of the day.

I love my fitbit and use the fitbit and a HRM for exercise. I find it pretty accurate but as always yrmv. It is a great motivator to get you up and moving and more active. I have almost doubled my steps since November. There is a fitbit group on here if you want to find fitbit friends. Feel free to friend me and add to fitbit when it arrives.

I have a fitbit one and I like it so far. Except that it will not sync with my Android all the time... :(

TODAY! I checked the tracking and my FitZip arrives TODAY! This is a good thing because I officially declared today, "I'm wandering around in my pajamas day"

It doesn't mean I'm not doing stuff, it goes like this: Grandma (age 92) was up late and said she dreaded getting dressed, my 15 year old daughter had school canceled. The ladies are running around looking like train wrecks today and loving it.

I am now officially running around with a FitBit tucked discretely in my bra. Too bad I'm having back spasms today. ; (

Not sure how, but my FitBit (One) keeps asking if I have any friends. Want to be my friend? Do you know how?!?! lol

FitBit doesn't have a spot to add using member ID. Wants email or facebook to add friends. Do you see any other way to find people? If not I'll PM you two my email address.

On the fitbit website, select your profile. your link will be at the top.

Or, go to the link I posted above. It will open to my profile. Then click "add friend".

I am interest in getting the Fit Bit bracelet that is coming soon......It seems a little more hi tech than just a pedometer. I will be watching the post to see what others think.

I forgot, anyone who wants to add me on Fitbit as a friend, my ID is:

    http://www.fitbit.com/user/24PFD8

Would you look at that! Julie has almost double the activity I do.
    My excuses are as follows:

The roads are an inch deep in slippery mud.
If I plug my treadmill in the breakers flip so my husband has to move the washer to get into the basement and restore power.
When the roads aren't mud, it is 20F out there.
The gym is 25 miles away in one direction.

    Pretty good right?

I'll catch up with you Julie *shakes fist and cackles like a loon*

Well, I just can't stand seeing you folks dusting me so it got me moving. Yeah, I put on my rubber boots and took a 2 mile walk. In the rain. And wind. Now I'm only 2000 steps behind. *sob*

I am firing up my bogybug again. I got it for my birthday a while back, and worth it daily, I loved it, and it really helped with SEEING what I was actually doing to my body or not. It was tethered to my phone so every time I looked at my phone my counter was looking back at me!
