change of plan...

I'm no longer doing to 100km a day for 2 days ride. This is because the amount of money that they want me to have donated is obscene ($2.5k), and I can't commit to all of the training, raising those funds, and being a wife and mum and full time shift worker.
BUT I'm not interested in quitting either :-), so i have a new plan. When the hub's parents come to visit in Nov, we are going away for 2 days and 1 night. We're going to do the Hauraki Rail Trail- 77km a day for 2 days instead, and we'll stay in a hotel and not a ****ty tent!
I'm sad I can't do the charity ride, but the money they want is just too much. And if i don't raise enough then I don't ride. I don't want that kind of pressure.
So, i rode today. And i'm riding again tomorrow. I just hope my bum doesn't hurt again because it's hard to stay motivated when your exercise of choice gives you a sore *kitten*.

that is an insane amount of money to require. I don't blame you a bit.
Good luck with the new goal!0 -
Wow this really is too much!
For the few charity rides here the donation is USD 500 - 1200, the riders can get to ride in other countries - like 5 days in Japan, 8 days tour around Taiwan! (Trip expenses separately borne by participants)
All the best to your new plan.0
