Okay people its March and time for a new monthly challenge
Monthly challenges are a great way of breaking down your goals and feeling part of a community at the same time. The general idea is that there are no rules, you set your goals for the month be they exercise or weight loss or healthy eating or all of the above and then we check in with each other once a week with how we are going. Our final check in is on the 1st of the following month when we can reflect on our outcomes and hopefully celebrate!
That all said my goals for this month are...
1) Loose 2kg
2) Run twice a week
3) Swim at least twice a week
4) Walk once a week
5) Challenge myself to use higher gears while commuting on my bike
6) Have a salad for at least one meal 6 days a week
7) Work on my dissertation at least one full 8 hour day a week
What about you? :-)

I would like to lose at least 4 pounds this month, drink 8-10 glasses of water per day and run at least 5 days a week (whether it be on the treadmill or outside).0

Looks like you have some nice goals there
Me?
1. Run* at least 75 miles
2. Complete the 100 pushup Challange
3. Do more strength training
4. Gain 2lb+ of LBM
5. Learn to skip
* I use that term loosely0 -
1. My spin/barre studio is having a March challenge: do 30 classes in 30 days and get 30% off your next package. My goal is to complete the challenge by March 28th because that's when I go on vacation!
2. My girlfriend was just prescribed a diet that she needs to stick to for the next 6 months. No gluten, dairy (except eggs and soft cheese in moderation), citrus fruits, bananas, tomatoes, eggplant, okra, potatoes, vinegar, fermented foods, processed foods, refined sugar, cashews, peanuts, chili peppers, or raw vegetables (she also doesn't eat meat). I'm the cook in the house, and it will be a real challenge coming up with things we both can eat that are healthy and interesting.0 -
March goals:
1. Heal up well from surgery....behave!
2. Stay on track with nutrition. Boredom is an evil nutrition wrecker for me!
3. Walk at least 5 days a week. Seems excessive but it is my only allowable route right now.
4. Get better and menu planning/shopping so I don't waste good produce and have a plan.0 -
Apparently it's mid-way through March and I have no goals so here we go...
1. Lose some inches from my measurements done at the beginning of the month.
2. Ride my new bike a minimum of 1 or 2x a week
3. Be consistent with my strength training routine (both in the gym and my training plan for home exercise days)
4. Try to get to 10k steps at least 3 days a week
5. Try to get a minimum of 5 flights of stairs a day0 -
I just need to "REALLY" avoid fast food and make sure I get in at least 5 days of strength training.0

My health coach helped me set up some goals for the month (no, I'm not fancy enough to afford a coach LOL - I work at a hospital and they're provided free ^_^):
1) meet my calorie goals and track daily
2) lose 1 to 2 pounds weekly
3) no soda!
4) start going to the gym at least twice a week0
