Hi my name is Joy I am 41 and live in the UK. I started stronglifts before cant remember why I stopped. I have just finished jamie easons live fit programme I loved it but found lifting 6 says a week too much I am also training for a half marathon, work full time and have 3 kids. Just done my first workout it felt pretty easy as I reduced the weights from what I was previously using, I know it will get harder though. As well as this and half marathon training I am also going to be doing Jillian michaels body revolution. Looking forward to getting some advice.

Welcome!
All I'm going to say is that if you can somehow do Stronglifts and train for a half marathon and keep up with Jillian Michaels, then you're a better woman than I am. :flowerforyou:
In other words, don't be surprised if you end up having one or more of them slide in favor of the other(s).0 -

I'm restarting SL today after a few weeks off, just being lazy. Anyway, I'm ready to get back at it. I have a 5k in May, so I'm running 1-2x a week. Also adding some yoga in at least 1x a week. Don't think I will have the energy for much else to be honest. Good luck!0

Welcome!!! :flowerforyou:
I've got a 5K coming up next month, and after that? I don't want to run much more, LOL...I really love lifting, and the feeling seems to be mutual.
I have pretty much given up my other forms of exercise in favor of lifting. Well, except Yoga. I think I am starting to warm up to that a bit, as well. 0 -
