Protien snacks

Hi everyone, I am 10 weeks post op and just want an idea of what you are eating as a snack. Preferably snacks with protein in them. I am getting bored of my usual snacks of cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese and protein bars.

Thanks

I am not there yet but I saw that someone one post this idea before: use turkey pepperino and crisp in microwave then top with chez( babybel light cheese, provolone or mozzeralla). can not wait to try it! Probably could even squirt a dap of sauce on it????

I heard that ^^^ pepperoni "crisps" but never tried it, sounds good.

You can also try to bake the cheese so it gets crispy and you get a cheesy chip which is great for protein, crunch and can add a dip to it. (The short cut way is to microwave the cheese till it starts cripsing but dont let it burn!) -> I do this and have a few little dips on the side (like a tsp or half tbsp) so that there is some variation in my snack.

I also eat soy products since its a good source of protein and fiber. I eat soy hot dog, soy bacon, and edemame (I like the ones in the pods).

Also I LOVE salted and roasted green peas and edemame, or roasted soy nuts. Its nice and crunchy and savory, so it feels a little naughty LOL, but I it has protein as well and is a different change of pace from the cheese stick, cottage and eggs etc.

I'm just barely postop but these are snacks that I've enjoyed preop and look forward to enjoying them again when I'm further out.

Chicken salad on a ryveta cracker (or cracker of your choice)

A piece of lunchmeat wrapped around a thin piece of avocado.

Make your plain greek yogurt savory by adding some ranch powder to it and then use it as a dip for a high protein bean chip.

A pork and chicken dumpling steamed in a cabbage leaf instead of dough

10 weeks post op? Are you eating regular solids?

    My snacks:
    - turkey bacon (YUM omg YUM)
    - jerky
    - boiled eggs
    - protein bars (there are some really good ones out there) and shakes
    - cheese cubes
    - cheese crisps
    - fudge bars (Ok no protein but really good to curb my sweet tooth)
    - nuts
    - peanut butter
    - tuna
    - diced boiled chicken (really takes just a small bit to fill me up between meals)

    Keep up the good work.

ETA - you can order protein jell-o cups, protein chips and other snacks online (I used MyBariatricPantry.com)
