activites that help relieve the pain

I don't take any meds other than a occasional Advil because of some other health issues so I try to find alternatives that help me.
A few years back, I picked up guitar playing and realized that if I played 1/2 hour in the morning it really loosened up the hand/finger stiffness before work started(Carpenter).
I had to learn to take it easy at times, but as my muscles in my fingers grew stronger, it made my hands close to 95% pain free and I don't get near the swelling that I use to. They did swell quite a bit in the beginning though.
What secret activity helps you?

I think baths with epson salt help the swelling quite a bit. Need to stay in it for at least 15 minutes. I think the hot water helps too.0

I too am not on any meds and would like to keep it that way. I have found on my more stiff days that if I walk and stretch I feel better. On those days I really want to do nothing, but I realize that being stationary won't help.0
