Scrum Shorts!

Hey fellow ruggers! So I've lost about thirty pounds, and my poor shorts I started with freshman year are a tad too big on me now....:drinker: This is good news, however, they ride up incessantly during practice and games and it drives me CRAZY.

So, what do you guys recommend as a good short? I'm looking for something durable, as I'm a forward, but I also want them to be a little more "flexible" so they don't ride as much, hahaha. Maybe with pockets, too.

Thanks for suggestions!

koogar, canterbury, any heavy cotton ones should do,. my fav ones i got a few yrs back from cotton trader, but they seem to have stopped making them. i got pair in the sale last month made by patrick... they are crap so strongly advise you to stay clear lol get some comfy undershorts too they should help stop the wedgey
  • The only ones I truly like are the old school Barbarian heavy cotton ones with a button fly (and drawstring) and pockets. Only the men's version, though...the women's ones were a very odd long length.

Our team has moved to tech fabric jersey and shorts. The shorts are definitely comfortable, but I really miss the pockets.
  • I have some Nike 'England player issue' shorts. They're flexible and durable (rip-stop material).

I also have some Adidas 'Climalite' shorts. Not quite as flexible, but very comfortable and durable.

But, neither of these have pockets.

I also wear the men's Barbarian shorts, and I put Under Armour compression shorts underneath them.
