This women has started a post regarding gay marriage in America.

I am from the UK so we have had Civil Partnerships since 2005 and gay marriage since 2013, so maybe I don't know what its really like for gay people in USA or anywhere else who can't legally be as miseable as the rest of the population (joking).

What annoyed me though is that this women wrote something along the lines of

"I am not interested in debate or forum drama"

Yet she knows this will spark debate and forum drama..

From my point of view I don't like opening us LGBT folk up for abuse, what do you guys think?

Also it was in motivation and support.. do we need to post LGBT talk in this forum?

I don't see it anywhere, so maybe the moderator removed it (which I would expect). I say, don't feed the trolls. Maybe she was irritated by Facebook profile pics being replaced by the red HRC symbol that people are using to show their support.

On the main forums, a discussion of marriage equality is pretty clearly in violation of the community guidelines. (See link at the bottom of every message board page.)
Additional Guidelines for the Main Forums

    15. Divisive Topics Are Better Suited For Groups, Not the Main Forums

Divisive topics, particularly those that seek input from or are relevant only to a select group of users, are better placed within an appropriate Group rather than the Main Forums. For example, topics relevant to only one religion should not be placed on the main forums but rather within a group related to that religion. We reserve the right to move any topic to a relevant public Group which interested members may join if they wish to continue to participate.

    16. No Political Topics in the Main Forums

Political content is not allowed on the Main Forums. This includes images. Please form or join a Group if you would like to engage in political debate on MyFitnessPal.
