Ephesians 4:21-23 (NIV)
"when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds"
I do not know if you have this problem or not but I sure do. Being self-centered is a problem that I deal with each and every day. Try as hard as I can to focus on Christ and others, I still want to put my self first from time to time. There is a huge problem with that type of daily living...my joy and happiness seems to be based on what type of emotional state I am in. If things are going my way...happiness. If I am struggling with something or someone then stress and worry start to creep in...actually rush in. After watching the tv series THE BIBLE I must ask myself again (for the 100th time) why am I so reluctant to go "all in" with my faith and trust in God. JOY will only be true and pure when I can turn myself completely over to God and allow the Holy Spirit in 100% of the time!
Have a blessed day everyone!

Thank you for your post and your openness! This is a problem I often struggle with too. I have a hard time going all in and trusting God because I feel like I have to be in control. It is hard for me to turn it all over to God. It is something I need to work on!
Blessings to you!0 -
Right there too! I always try to fix things ......I can not let go and let God....trust is a major issue for me....yet I can always look back and see where he was in the situation and I find myself saying why did I doubt?! He has brought me this far through many trials why would he leave me now?! He wouldn't and that's what I have t o remember he is there..here with me. His will be done in my life!0
