measuring meat

So, I've been having little issue with protein specifically meats. And I am trying to think of anything that i might be doing wrong and not be realizing it. When weighing meat should i portion it out raw or after it is cooked. I think normally the standard meat portions are precooked weight. I only ask because today i tried 1 ounce of chicken and only ate 1/2. I am curious if anyone has any ideas.
Ps I've been doing meatballs that are 1/2 ounce fully cooked and I do two of those no problem.
If no one is sure i will ask one of my nutrionist buddies and post what she says

I weigh my protein portions after cooking. I have always done this and it works for me.0

I weigh meat after cooking. My nutritionist confirmed this, but I have also seen a lot of conflicting opinions. The only exception is hamburgers, where the package is explicit about the nutritional content per patty, rather than by weight.0
