What did you think?
Will we be chasing the Great Intelligence for the rest of the season?
Just who is he Impossible Clara?

Two words. River. Song. :P
As for the GI... I knew it was going to be in this episode... I know sounds smug and, well, perhaps I am... who knows? But when I heard it was about wifi, I immediately thought of the Great Intelligence... and then Auntie Beeb revealed Richard E Grant would be back for this ep...
...any bets on GI controlling the Cybermen in the penultimate episode?
I thought it was a good ep, but confusing... like, how did the Doctor change a base station to look like himself? Where were the people who had been uploaded? How did they know they weren't in their "real" life? What gave it away for them?
BTW, did anyone else notice the author of Clara's book? It was AMY WILLIAMS
Also, did anyone else notice that, in the book, Clara had listed each of her ages but skipped 23? Why...? Hmmmmm...
And... lastly... Clara became a nanny after visiting the family a year ago - when she was 23 - and she stayed when the mother died - like the old governess did in The Snowmen.
Coincidence?? I think not!!!
Because sometimes impossible things just happen and we call them miracles...0 -
GI controlled Cyberman make sense in a Neil Gaiman penned script.
It was definitely confusing. We'll watch it again on demand. I miss subtle nuances the first time around. We did catch Clara's "Eleven is the best" near the beginning of the episode, but missed the author of the book. I KNEW there was something we were supposed to notice about the book, but I didn't get it.
I am still stuck on when we first met her she was an assimilated Dalek who couldn't accept she was a Dalek and created a new reality in her mind.
I caught that she skipped age 23 in her book. The leaf also picks at my mind.
I want to watch her other two episodes again. But the answers are not necessarily in those episodes. Have you heard the talk that she is the daughter of Rose and Meta-Crisis Ten?
And I am not convinced I like the new intro. I don't like the new red and I miss the TARDIS twirling through the blue Time Vortex.
She is The Impossible Clara, after all.0 -
I also didn't like the red either and I also missed the Tardis.
Good catch noticing the author on Clara's book.
Great episode and I will be watching again on demand.0 -
I miss the TARDIS but love the return of the Doctor's face.0

Hmmm, I'm still digesting this one. I have it saved on my DVR for a second viewing. All in all, I enjoyed the episode. Matt Smith continues to grow on me. As for Clara, I forsee some timey-wimey stuff to emerge. More later once I've given it a second look.0

I don't mind the new intro - I like the return of the Doctor's face, but now you mention it, the lack of timey-wimey vortex tube thing and the TARDIS itself is quite apparent...
What I don't like is the new TARDIS interior. When we first saw it, it was during the Christmas special when the Doctor was going through his mean 'n moody Scrooge spell... so what does he choose for his new interior? Bright blue, red and yellow neon with spinning lights. Does this look like something a depressed doctor would choose? I don't think so...
It looks like a 70's disco. *sigh*0 -
I finally watched this one a couple nights ago... I'm still not sure what to think of it.
The darker intro is kind of ominous. I'm also not sure what to think of the new interior... the things that twist up top? What's that all about & why did they focus on it at the end of the show?0 -
Yeah, I still say it looks like a 70's disco... and I've kinda gone off the new music and intro now LOL
But Clara's cute so that's always a plus for me :P0
