I really wanted to do the mini-marathon this year but I'm going on holidays at the end of May so will miss it. I just completed the Couch 2 5k programme so I'll join you in this challenge of running the mini-marathon distance in 90 mins by June 3rd.

    I'm in!

Hope to do the mini-marathon too. I'll be doing it with 3 of my sisters, must see if they plan to run/walk or a combination of both. , have to start training too now the nights are brighter.

Anyone else doing the "Great Ireland Run" 10k on 14/April in the Phoenix Park?
I'm aiming to run it (non-stop) in 75min.

@ bmoregan I won't be doing the Great Ireland Run next weekend, just wouldn't be ready/able yet.

    My progress:
8.85km tonight in 1:28 without pushing myself too much
    1.5lbs / 0.6kg down so far :)

Hi Claire. If you're at 8.85km you're nearly there!
I'll report in how the 10k goes next weekend.

Did the Great Ireland Run 10k in the Phoenix Park yesterday. Came in at 65min - 10 min quicker than my goal so really happy with that.

Wow bmoregan that's so impressive, I wish I could aim for that.

Have been struggling to stick to either my diet or walking lately, trying to get back on the wagon this week.
