A good article that explains the pros of both, obviously from a BB perspective, but the benefits apply whether muscle gain, fat loss or strength is your goal.

It all depends on your goals.
Right now I'm trying to lose, so I'm doing HIIT 3 day body splits, 6 days a week. It's a lot, but each muscle group has 72 hours to recover between sessions. LiveFit or Shred are great for splits.
Full body is also amazing and you can get a full body workout in three days a week. Stronglifts and Starting Strength are great for these.
New Rules of Lifting is a good mix of the two, in my experience.0 -

Outstanding article! I would recommend this a "must read". I'm a full body advocate most of the time but I agree there are some benefits to a split work out.0
