I haven't tried it, but hear it works to slow it down. Has your doctor checked your testosterone levels? Something like Spironolactone can help a lot with the hair thing because it blocks the androgen hormones that fire up the excess hair growth. Electrolysis is great, but slow...0

I didn't have huge amounts of hair, but I was using Vaniqua for a awhile with Spironolactone, and it definitely helped. The only reason I stopped the Vaniqua is because insurance wouldn't pay for it and it was quite expensive. I still use spironolactone, and that has helped a lot too, but it was definitely so much more effective while using Vaniqua. If you can afford it, go for it!0

I have a lot of facial hair. I shave everyday. I tried Vaniqa. It is expensive and useless in my case. Over the years the best thing I found for reducing the amount of hair and slowing down the growth is Saw Palmetto. I take 2 pills in the morning and 2 at dinner. I recently have been put on Spironolactone. It has further helped to reduce the hair significantly. I tried backing off of the Saw Palmetto to see if the Spironolactone was sufficient. It wasn't so I'm back to my full intake of Saw Palmetto. You will notice a difference with Saw Palmetto within a week.0

hi i tried vaniqa for a really short period of time. My dr was a little hesitant about prescribing it because she said it works best if you do something like electrolysis at the same time. I only used it for about a month or so, I couldnt deal with the waiting before I could apply makeup. I guess like with anything it depends on how much its affecting you. I have a lot of facial hair too, but its gradually increased over the years and ive gradually changed my response to it, so it doesnt affect my life or lifestyle so much.0
