Hi everyone, so I'm only about 8 weeks along, I had been doing really well with losing weight and gaining muscle and starting to feel good about my body even though I still have about 55-60 more pounds to lose when I got the surprise that I was pregnant with baby number 4 I still haven't completely gotten used to the idea that I'm actually pregnant and I'm missing my workouts so bad I got the ok from my ob that I could do any type of workout I wanted including boot camp style workouts if I wanted but the problem is I'm so tired I have never worked out in any of my other pregnancies but I really don't want it to be the same this time around, and I don't want to wait until the second trimester and I start not feeling as tired to start working out, I want to continue to work on the rest of my body, so anyone have some tips on what you do when your tired but know you need to workout??
Do you do a certain type of workout and does it give you a burst of energy? Do you eat certain foods to give you more energy? I really need any tips thank you :-)

I am in the exact same boat as you lol.. surprise baby #4 and wanting to work out.. I totally lost all energy at around 8 weeks also and it has not gotten better and I just hit the third trimester. I guess on days that I feel a bit higher on energy I go for a walk but that's all I can do and I used to do HIIT workouts regularly up to about 8 weeks pregnant.. my heart rate was suddenly through the roof and I nearly blacked out doing my regular workout which is when I found out I was pregnant.
I am just making sure I eat well during the pregnancy and do some exercise like walking when I can and my plan is to resume after the baby is here because my body is just not cooperating right now. It sucks I know0 -
My suggestion is not work out if you think your body is exhausted. It does get better. In first trimester, I was always sleepy and seriously lacked energy. I couldn't go to the gym that often. I didn't worry too much about it. Do what you can do. Don't push yourself too hard. Watch your diet. Eat healty, go for walks and you should be able to maintain. Some days you'll be tired and some days full of energy. Just do your best.0

Like you, I found myself pregnant with baby #4 just as I was feeling good about myself and enjoying working out. I had to stop heavy lifting around 8 weeks because I only did it in the evening and by then I was just toooooo exhausted to be doing that! I was able to keep up my Zumba class attendance 3 days a week only because it was first thing in the morning, but then I would be utterly wasted the rest of the day. If I'd try to go grocery shopping with my kids or do anything really, I'd just want to collapse. So I guess my only suggestion is to try and get your workout in early in the day and then take it easy the rest of the day. At least that's what got me through the first trimester. It definitely got better by 14 weeks for me. Now at almost 34, I'm dying again and have to cut back my workouts.0

I'm pregnant with #4 as well and I just hit 10 weeks yesterday. Once I found out, my energy level totally hit rock bottom. I didn't work out for like the next 4 weeks. I just started getting back into it this week. My energy level is ok, but not great. On the days I'm exhausted, I don't push myself. I'm still trying to watch what I eat, but sometimes I have to cave to those lovely cravings. Besides, I have a 2 year old that I'm constantly chasing around. I've limited my workouts to walking, eliptical trainer, and Wii Biggest Loser. These seem to be just the right amount of exercise that my body can handle right now. Once the weather finally gets better in WI, I'll be outdoors doing lots of exercises w/ my kids.0
