Has your blood work changed since starting MFP?

They were offering Cholesterol screenings at the health food store. I am back in normal range. I was 210 in February and heavier then I've ever been. My liver count was out of whack too, but just gotten over the flu. Down to 185 and more importantly my Total Cholesterol to HDL is 2.89. Liver enzymes are low now. This program really works. When I lose the 9 1/2 lbs. more I want to lose, I will have it checked again to see if I improve?

I'm new to MFP and just got my blood work numbers today. My tc is 234 :(. Every other time I've been checked, it's been under 200. My tc/hdl ratio is 3:36. I'm glad to hear your good news about how MFP is working well! I'll have mine checked again in 6 months (maybe sooner) to see what kind of a change it makes for me. Good Going!!

My annual physical is in June and this is my 1st time that I'm actually looking forward to going. In the past, my doc used to scold me and I'd leave in tears....not this time. I believe my results will be different.

It's nice that you know its coming; it's another great motivator to keep going in your positive direction!

My cholesterol, which was never over 200, went even lower. My A1C to check for pre-diabetes improved. I check that because my dad is a Type II diabetic. My liver enzymes are normal. The only thing that didn't improve is blood pressure, but I have white coat syndrome when I go to the doctor.

    Absolutely!
    cholesterol - was 207 now 161
    HDL - was 37 now 53
    LDL - was 136 now 89
    triglycerides - were 169 now 86

and my A1c dropped from 7.3 to 5.2

the only thing that hasn't changed is my BP, which has never been a problem anyway ( was 106/71 now 104/62 )
