Stuck on Bioshock Command Deck :(

Any tips to beat the Command Deck for someone who is BAD at FPS? (I am so slow and I think that's why I hate FPS, because I'm terrible, its amazing I've gotten this far lol) I just want to beat it so I can see the end 
And my fiance is like 2 whole days behind me. I am going to try one more night before i have him beat it for me LOL. Here is what I do:
Have Songbird attack things in the air, then I use possession on the rocket guys or Vox guys if there are no rockets. And then when the Patriots come out I shock jockey them and try to kill them from behind since they ignore me and focus on the genorator. But I'm too slow they get too much hits on the genorator I think I read that you only have to destroy 3 zeppelins, if that's true I was SOOOO CLOSE last night but UGH.
I"ve read guides online and watched Youtube videos, but I'm just not as good at this game as the dudes on there who are zipping along skylines using EVERY vigor, etc etc

Put Return to Sender traps in front of the generator, use Songbird to clear the deck and gunships, and take out the Zeppelins yourself by skylining over to them and sabotaging the engines.
At least, that's how I did it....0 -
