Depends on the situation for me, if I didn't run for a good reason then I can accept that but if I miss it purely because I was lazy then I'd just have to have a word with myself and on my next run push it up that little bit harder as punishment.

I Totally punish myself with miles!! If Im havign a sh*tty run day (not making decent time, stopping to walk alot, etc. ) I make myself do more miles!! hahaha

It was driving me so nuts that I found a way to fit in a run after work before an appt this evening, may be stinky but at least I got my run in!!

I have been trying to run every other day with cross training in between days Bike, stairs, bootcamp run days are usually 5ks then on weekends when I can I'll do a long run 5-8 mi trying to keep working it up take off days here and there nothing scheduled tho just as I feel I need it. Started being a "runner" in Jan. this year, was kind of a whenever I feel like it if its nice out runner before.

It's only one run. Don't worry about it. That's my take on it. You'll probably be all the stronger next time for having had a rest today.

I do notice that too Ellie, if I have a day or two off I get an excellent run the next time.

best scenario is when I take two days off then do a long run!
