On non lift days

Can I still do full body work out class that involves weights max 5-8 lbs and count it as cardio? Then do 5X5 mon, weds, friday?

Try it and see how you do. If you are at the beginning of SL then you will probably be okay but as it progresses my guess is that you won't be able to recover adequately. In my first cycle of SL I attempted JM's Ripped in 30 on my non lifting days and it was a complete no go....but that was me. I am fine doing yoga or interval training on non lift days but that endurance weight work nearly killed me.

Only way you will know is if you try....if it affects you SL workouts, then stop :)

I had the same thoughts about exercise when I started lifting but I cycle 70 miles a week and have found that mixing the exercises up is actually quite helpful to keep the cardio side up without any ill effects on my lifting.

If your body is tired it'll let you know. Good luck!
