After you finish a mission (if you keep running) two guys come on and talk to each other like Radio DJ's. They are fun to listen to. They comment on the post apocalyptic world. Gossip about Abel. Some people when they have finished all the missions (or just for fun) like to just turn on radio mode and listen instead of going on missions again.
If you plan on running longer than a regular mission it is definitely worth getting Radio Mode.
