Hey ladies- so I am having the never ending breast growth issue, which I didn't have last time. BAH! I'm looking for some advice. Did you or have you stopped wearing an underwire? How much did your breast grow between 21 weeks and full term? LIke i said, last time my breast really didn't grow that much so this is all new to me.

I'm having the same issue! i got new bras a few weeks ago and they're still ok for now.. underwire- cant imagine otherwise!
I wasn't that huge to start with but this is unfamiliar to me too! i will add that it was worth the investment even if temporary- so much more comfortable with a well fitting bra!0 -
so I've been fighting the boob issue all along, lol!
My ladies were big to start out with and I've always been an underwire kinda gal. I started to notice that my underwire was cutting into my breasts and would leave an imprint when I took my bra off each night - not good right?
So I went and bought maternity bras in a bigger band size and I still have the same issue but the cups are too big.
Then I went and blew $250 on 3 bras at a specialty store that are all nursing bras, they're surprisingly comfortable though I thought I'd hate them. I still prefer the wire cause it helps lift the ladies but hell, I'm 31 weeks and figure it's better to be comfortable right?
Hopefully I don't get too much bigger when the milk comes in or I'm going to have to shell out some more mega bucks!
Best advice is get fitted, go to a BRA specialty shop, not a maternity clothing shop....that was my first mistake.0 -
Thanks ladies! Yes, the underwire is cutting in on me also which is why I was wondering about underwire. I have always been an underwire girl because I have C cup before pregnancy. I went to a bra store this past weekend and they "fit" me and I bought the bra that they said however the cup isn't big enough- I spill out over and the underwire digs in and the strap is tight, I would have picked bigger. I also worry about the underwire from a milk standpoint and I know that there are mixed reviews out there on this.0

I nursed my DD for two years wearing underwire. I also bought various bras from Lane Bryant which helped when they were growing and when they were shrinking. You may think you won't wear them again, but when you're losing the weight again you will!!!0

I'm currently 38+ weeks, and I am also large chested to start (36D). I went up to a 36DD by the end of my first trimester and toughed it out with a few larger underwire bras until 30 weeks or so. Once enough was enough (with the uncomfortable underwire) I bought a couple Bravado Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bras. They took a few days for me to get used to them, but I now think they are the best money I have spent on clothing this pregnancy, and I absolutely love them!
Good luck!0 -

I ended up getting 2 of these too and I couldn't agree more! Super comfortable once you get used to the no wire idea0 -

Good to know! I was a somewhat deflated 36D (due to so much weight loss prior to this pregnancy), so at the end of my first trimester, I filled out my (underwire) 36D bras nicely, but in the first few weeks of my second had some quadriboob (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=quadriboob) going on. I pulled out my Wal-Mart nursing bras from last time, which are a 38DD and have no underwire. They are cheap, and I love them, but I have to hook them at the tightest setting, which means they can get scratchy sometimes. Since I'm assuming I won't use them for THAT long postpartum (unless I really have long-term massive boobs from nursing), I'm not that worried about them. If nursing goes that well, and I end up needing something more long-term, I'll check these out!0 -
This is all new to me... so glad I have other to ask for advice. I started out a small B but am current a bulging C at 22 weeks. (I only bought 2 C-size bras because I knew they were prob a short term thing.) It's clearly time for me to go up a size. Does it make sense for me to start buying maternity bras at this point (God-willing I plan to BF)? Even if I outgrow them, I'll need them on the other side, right?0

Maybe stick with two "regular" bras to see how it goes. I'd hate to see you spend the extra $$ on nursing bras in, say, a D, then needing a DD by the time you deliver/nurse.0
