When I grow up, I want to be a berry farmer - I have wanted that for some time now. Since I move so often and I haven't settle yet, I have seen on Pinterest these posts on berries in pots - even grapes! I will have to indulge the growing urge that way. But I love berries - we use to pick gooseberries and choke cherries in Nevada. And Mulberries off the neighbor's bush/tree. And in Oregon - blackberries, raspberries, salmon berries, huckleberries, dune strawberries - we picked them all. In Mississippi, I picked a ton of elderberries. In Germany - black currents - that's an acquired taste. In Alaska - high bush and low bush cranberries - oh I miss those, blueberries, crow berries, cloud berries..... My daughter Darcie told me who she was while I was pregnant (didn't know there were 2 yet) - in August picking blueberries - Darcie Lillian. Strawberries in Georgia – those were from a pick your own field. Here in Colorado, I've picked huckleberries so far. I much prefer picking my berries out of the woods/fields for free. This is my favorite kids book - it reads so nice - Jamberry.

Sadly, strawberry season is over in Florida (egads! why, why must it end???!) and California strawberries are too expensive, so I will have to move to the next berry in season here: Blueberries!!!!0
